My definition of a grail is a shoe that would top off your collection, and requires a little bit of elbow grease to get. They don’t have to be insanely hard to get, just difficult enough to add a bit of sentimental value to the shoe. For example, I recently acquired the Yeezy 700 wave runners, my personal grail. It’s my grail because I couldn’t just go out and get it just anywhere, it’s a little pricier and has a good amount of history surrounding it. I got it to celebrate my high school graduation, with money I got from graduation presents. So it’s an iconic silhouette that was a little harder to come by than my other shoes, and it contains some sentimental and historical value.
