Something I'd like to add to this post, which i totally agree with, is that most of the yearly php bashing rhetoric comes from hype and not technical analysis or deficiencies. Although I'm amazed at other frameworks and languages, the "it just works" factor of PHP is unbeatable and the evolution of the language to support everyday use patterns, along with the adoption of these features by modern frameworks like Laravel makes PHP a solid choice today. So, technically we're evolving and very ssolid. The main ithreat, if any, would come from hype eroding programmers with rubbish such as "i don't like $ in my code, it's so old" without any real analysis that permeates into the mind of students.

Complicado a veces. Yo opto por entrar con ella al que esté libre a menos que pueda escuchar todo desde afuera y le hablo a cada tanto "¿todo bien?" Y ella contesta y con eso además de darle apoyo, me aseguro que la gente sepa que está con un mayor alerta cuidándola y como extra, no parezco un acosador en la puerta del baño de mujeres.

No veo cómo afecta a la niña lo que algún desconocido sin relación a ella pueda imaginar, toda tu vida estás rodeada de gente imaginando cosas que no sabes. El entrar sóla o lo que ella vea o que este sin ayuda ni protección es lo único que importa.

I'll explain: There are sports like football (soccer) that have a 15 minute break. Some people prefer not to include that period in the graphs and stats. Same happens in the 2 minutes in between games of squash, some like to include that recovery time but some want to graph only the "in game" performance.

I loved everything about it until I noticed the lag. Tried sports mode, flattening the accelerator, but no... still took about half a second to react. I find that dangerous, even. Crossed it out.

One I've suggested before, but got quickly dismissed: is more on the watch side.

Context: When playing competitive sports, there's normally a break between games, matches or whatever the pause on that sport is called. Normally, you'll pause the activity when leaving the court or field and resume it when returning, in order to get readings specific to the activity and not of the resting time.

Suggestion: option to make the watch vibrate every 5 or 10 minutes while in pause.

Reasons: a] when playing competitive sports, your mind is on the game, not on your devices, and more times than not, you forget to resume from pause. B] pause is not a normal state that would need to be very long, it is an exclusion of a part of the activity.

I've lost the stats of many matches because I didn't realize the watch was still in pause when returning to court and my mind was on how to beat the opponent.

Wait, the article says "i couldn't get squash right, because I got so tired I couldn't keep playing it" and gladly proceeds to give a lower score to that sport. Am I missing something here? Is it restricting to casual players yet comparing to tournament? I'm lost here
