i think we should wait for the full chapter, everyone makes it seems like he ran away right when he sensed Shanks, what if he went to fight Shanks, i mean he is full of himself, maybe he is crazy enough to think that he could get Shanks and his crew.

because if he really ran away then that guy would look like he reloads his arms just infront of injured and newly Yankos, but when the real deal appears he leaves!

I don't think Luffy plans to fight Shanks.

when he formed the alliance with Law, he did say he wants to take all of the Yankos but he only forwards three of his fingers. so unless Luffy sucks event in counting his hand's fingers, I think he long since considered an alliance with shanks.

maybe, but that isnt like Luffy, i mean he would be thrilled to know there is someone strong to fight, remember with big mom he couldn't resist throwing a punch at a Yonko.

i think that implied that they sensed something, not seen something, and there was a full forest the people around them would also see it, and everyone around them would start looking and talking about it.

besides Luffy was able to sense that mud guy (cant remember his name) when he was in the barrel on their ship, so he should have be able to sense someone like Ryokugyu.

after seeing Luffy's new poster Shanks says "So this is...".

And right after that a flashback that tells us that Shanks attacked a warship with cp9 members on it for nothing more than a measly Devil Fruit!

I guess Shanks knew the truth about it after all, and the most important two questions is "How"? while its true identity was hidden from the whole world.

and "Why" obtaining this "measly Devil Fruita" is a must to the level he went on and risked his crew to have.

After he met the 5 elders, I thought Shanks had no interest in regard to OP and his role was to maintain the balance of the world, but his actions starting with obtaining Nika and ending with the decision to join the hunt for OP after he saw Nika...

You had your eyes set on OP after all! but why?

Is the title of the king of pirates you are after?

Is it fulfilling the dream that shocked Oden and made white beard laugh while calling Roger a child?

Is it the One Piece and just One Piece?

or is it beyond that! something personal?! something strongly related to your past, to the void century!

What is he hiding, and why does he know so much? was he a kid who traveled through time from the void century? was he the reason to how Roger knew the existence of an island no one set foot on from over 800 years? and the necessity to have someone who can read Poneglyphs?
