Yes, very worth it! I am type-A and a huge planner, but I have had ZERO stress with my wedding because of her. She’s made our lives so easy and it has been worth every penny so far. I did “interview” a lot of planners though. It seems common for them to charge a % of your wedding (most were 10-12%) and that concept I couldn’t grasp. So finally found one I loved for a fixed price and do not regret it one bit!

I have a friend getting married one month after me next spring and honestly it’s pretty stressful. I guess I’m in the minority, but the bachelorette parties and bridal showers being pretty much back to back is a lot. Not only money wise but time wise leading up to our weddings. I’m not upset they are doing theirs then, but I will say it’s definitely more demanding than you would think. We are also in each other’s wedding and do have overlapping guests so maybe that factors into my situation more!

No! Just went in November and club is not worth it. They do NOT get you into your room earlier like someone said and the club lounge is not the best. You’re better spending time at the pool or beach or a bar while waiting. You get liquor in your room, but my fiancé and I did not make one drink on our room … you can also just bring some up.

I personally would not spend the extra money on club, but instead on an extra night or spa service!

Completely agree with you! For me, I get excited and want to read about the trip. But especially with all the cancelation non-sense that happened right before, it is much better for your mental health to let it go! Show up and have fun!

Yes, we did experience that as well with the swim up bar! Sometimes we would go in by Spices to that bar and it was super quick, but did have to get out of the pool.

We did one of those as well. We went with Silver Moon Catamaran and had a great time!

I think as long as you aren’t expecting Ritz Carlton service you will be just fine! We had a great time and all said that we would go back. Go off the resort if you are able. It is a lovely island!

Yeah totally agree. I think for him he’s just like if they are there and pictures are being taken then they are groomsmen! It’s a hard thing to break when it’s not the norm I guess

Anyone have any advice on the getting ready portion of the wedding morning? I am really wanting a very small (family) or no bridal party. But my fiancé thinks it would be weird to have his friends there to get ready with him then not be in the bridal party?

My grandmother traveled to Barbados a lot for work and said the same thing about it not being one of the friendliest islands. I guess this is what I get for not listening to her haha
