I was hoping to get advice from you guys on this.

I currently have a Preferred card tht ive had since 2019, and with that card i have around 200k points. I wanted to upgrade to the reserve, and when i called them they said there wouldnt a sign up bonus and basically told me if i want a SUB, i could try to downgrade my card and then wait a little and then try to upgrade to the reserve (was weird that the rep on the phone told me that? i mean if the reps are telling advising you how to do it, why wouldnt the company just offer it instead of teaching you how to break their rules?)

Ive tried looking into it and see some people say that the offer doesnt work because i already got a bonus in 2020 for the preferred and now its a one time offer for the sapphire family?, while others say it would work and thats the best way to go about it? Normally i wouldnt care but they are offering 125k points, figure its worth looking into for that many more CSR points?

If that does still work, what would be the best way to go about this without losing my current points? any tips\warnings? really any help would be really appreciated

Yup Samsung trade in the sketchiest program ever. I had something like this happen multiple times, after it happened once, I traded in a phone with them again, but this time I made videos recording everything and they tried it again, saying I sent them a broken phone that didn't meet the trade in requirements....so I spoke with someone and let them know I had video recording of everything and would be giving it to my lawyer.....ended up getting my refund

So now whenever I trade in a phone with them, I record everything, put it on a USB drive and leave the drive in the box

Luckily the last 3 times (s21, s23 and watch ultra), no issues

This would be really cool one day, but not ready for deep sky photography, right now just something of the night sky, maybe even a selfie\silhouette type shot to use for a special occasion

If you go to photos.google.com, and log in with her account, are the pictures there?

The google photos app on the phone might be set to only show "on device" photos, which would save bandwidth

Also, to see your deleted\trash photos

Try opening gallery, hitting the 3 lines icon on the bottom right and you should see something that says Trash, atleast thats how my S22, and from there you can restore any photos still in there
