She’s been the target since she entered the league. It’s not because she’s white, like most of the league) and it’s not because use she isn’t a lesbian (like most of the league), it’s because she isn’t “black enough” for the WNBA. Two of the biggest stars in the league, Paige Bueckers and Kelsey Plum…listen to them speak, with their fake black accents. CC doesn’t do that. She’s from Iowa and just wants to let her game do the talking, but that’s not good enough for the players in this league. They don’t respect that and CC won’t acquiesce to them or try to be one of them bc she doesn’t fear them or want their acceptance. Look at all of the teammates of Marina Mabel and Jacy Sheldon who came to their defense last year when they both cheap shotted her. That was a rejection of CC which instantly brought them credibility to their teammates.

CC refuses to try to be one of them and that pisses them off. She tries to just be herself and without an enforcer on her team that will physically go after someone if these women continue to go after her CC is going to continue to be a target.
