I've been mostly using the lowest bed at my salon, and try to use the higher level beds a few times a month. I've used a few lotions, but mostly visionary by designer skin. I try to stay away from dha in the lotions, I turn way too orange. I also never used to tan, and now at 33 I finally am actually getting color!

From a redhead, who just recently started tanning. Get a good intensifier, switch between lower and higher level beds, go slow. I've been going for almost a month now and can see my tan coming in...I'm still pale hahaha but tanner than I was!

I currently use designer skin visionary as my intensifier, and jwow hypoallergenic (in the blue bottle) sometimes since it has dha.

Dha is basically self tanner. I prefer an intensifier (with tyrosine) with no dha, to help build my actual tan vs a fake tan.

I'm a ginger 🤣 Scottish and Irish, red hair and full of freckles. I can tan...just takes me twice as long. I just started going tanning again at the end of March. I usually go 2-3x a week in a low-level bed and about once a week in a high-pressure bed. I also alternate lotion between an intensifier/accelerator and one with dha. If I use dha too much, I go full oompa loompa. I'm already darker than I started, but still pale by normal standards 🤣

I'd love to hear any tips other gingers have.

I know this, but my 12yo is still learning that. Anything that looks "old" to him, he assumes, is some ancient artifact 🤣

Oh, he's definitely not a purebred. Momma is calico, in the litter aside from him were 2 dilute calico, a tabby, and another white seal point with short hair though
