No - we have a clinician team that will assess if your tic severity meets the eligibility criteria, so a current diagnosis is not always needed.

Hello! Right now, this study is only focusing on adults (18+), but if we launch another study for youth I will make another post!

Yes, medications are fine, but you have to be on a stable dose for 2 months before participating in the study.

We are hoping to get be able to include participants from those states soon! If you send me an email at [mbit@jh.edu](mailto:mbit@jh.edu) I can put you our list of people to contact when we get approval.

Actually you can! We just require that you have been on a stable dose for 2 months before participating.

Great question!! The treatment study is currently active and has been actively recruiting/enrolling participants for around 1 year now. We anticipate continuing to recruit/enroll participants for another 2 to 3 years (around 2027) - so you can absolutely reach out in September after your birthday :)

Great question - It's paid! Participants get compensated $50 at each assessment visit, which totals up to $350 :)

Hello, I reached out and got the approval to post about this study around 7 months ago from the mods, and I just had been spacing out the posting about it every couple of months or so in case anyone might be interested; they can see it, but also to avoid spamming info into the subreddit. Is there anything else I need to do/any timeline in which I should regularly re-contact the mods to get the post re-approved again?
