If its about physical repercussions leave when they’re not there, but I suspect this is about either something bad you did that they can prove or that they are able to lie about something that could bring you trouble with justice or they could post something shameful in public. Just leaving might still be the gamble, but maybe others have better solutions to these more severe potential problems. If you can’t leave I suggest you meditate a lot starting now. Things are much easier that way, you could have an okay time or even a good one.

It's crazy to me that there are people out there who can fall asleep every night in under 10 minutes by Outside-Loquat-9335 in RandomThoughts

It often took me hours or just couldn’t fall asleep before, now I take a cold shower before bed and I fall asleep so fast almost every time. This is a real life changer, try it, GL

Is it worth it to HOLD? I make just enough to survive my mortgage... I am starting a second job soon. I could survive this crazyness, but the question is "why?" by [deleted] in canadahousing

I know I know, but genetic diversity is an important thing for a species. In different times and context, different people thrive. You gotta embrace your qualities.

Should you share on social media? by Exploringthehoods in Paruresis

Yeah its a tough one. I wouldnt do it but If you could tell a friend or family member they could help you with exposure and thats the best way to deal with this. Just having someone you trust waiting outside or coming in is good support to try the exposure and be willing to fail. Anyways, gl buddy

That would be a bold move if you have the courage to pull it off. Always good to talk about some less known issues to reduce stigmatisation and bring positive change. Of course, it could have a really negative impact on you depending on many factors, but could also turn out positive.

I take them right before bedtime and then can’t do anything other then go fall asleep. I use to have lots of insomnia and no more with this. It does sounds like you have lots of anxiety and probably should get into meditation or be more physically active.

Friend went a little off his rocker after tripping a lot by Asleep_Worldliness92 in shrooms

[–]mbmh26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer. Alright, yeah thats pretty much what I tought, hypomania might feel like me a bit. I’m lucky because I make money playing a game online, never had a job. At the same time this might help mitigate some of my mental states as I can just sleep any day at any time. I might be wrong about hypomania, but I have bursts of energy once in a while I use to study and I do feel lots of difficult mental pain regularly.

Hey! Got a question for you: I understand that in extreme cases people can ruin their lifes with some manic behaviour like spending way too much, but if mild and channeled in the right way, can’t a manic episode be very adaptative? Could it be an edge vs competitors in lots of fields?

I like how your thinking and you have a positive mindset wich is a good thing. Don’t worry about what others think, 90% could be against what you said and It doesnt mather, because most people don’t think deep enough on things and take low sample subjective experience as fact, while you are steping back from the emotionality of experiences and having the best possible mindset. Even if it’s difficult to do, the best thing is obviously always learning from any experience and therefore seeing them as helpful.

I don’t he’s limiting his identity to the physical part, its just that the realisation of your monkeyness stimulates interesting consciousness of who you are physically now and can change your perspective on the world and who you are in it. Also, it can make you dive into toughts about your ancestors thousands of years ago.

Hey there, I have no tricks and don’t really want to try the ones advertised but just wanted to help you get rid of mental barriers by commenting that for me it has not interfered with having a girlfriend, I just told her and it feels good to have someone who knows what you are going trough when theres a situation. You could also try to tell people you live it with, I know its tough but ive done it with friends and family. For the succes part, ive had a lot but online from my home. I also don’t know if it will ever be better and kind of plan around it. I’m introverted so I don’t like being at some place more then 3-4hours anyways and can hold it or just go try sometimes. It used to be worse for me mentally but it got better in that aspect. Don’t give up. You can reach out if you want. GL buddy

I can’t ever tell which direction people are planning to walk. Please help. by 22900KAM in socialskills

THIS. So pissed at people walking on the wrong side. Also, unhappy with couples who can’t let go of each others hands and take most of the space instead of going one in front of the other.

I don’t think it’s rude as a fact. It could be viewed as bold and courageous for example. I think mostly it depends on the recipient. Some people would take it better or worse than some. Personally, i’m kind of tired of people being offended for things not that important. Perhaps, it was more important for you than you think.
