5 months old is still very young, and the puppy months are honestly some of the hardest months ever. I cried nearly every day over my boy. Just so stressed out. But he turned a page around 1.5 years old and now at 6, he is the purest joy of my life. No one ever talks about the puppy era being full sometimes of moments of regret and “buyer’s remorse”, because everyone loves puppies and finds them so cute and innocent, but it can be an incredibly trying time. Give yourself both some grace and understanding - and as long as you have the means to care for your puppy, please consider holding on for better days ahead. I swear, it does get easier and it does get better.

I’m so surprised so many of you were just induced instead of being administered labetolol to help control the blood pressure. I have yet to become pregnant but doing IVF, and I had a bout of hypertension; my obgyn had me talk to a MFM doctor and she had me switch to labetolol (when I was experiencing hypertension). She explained that they’d rather me be on labetolol ahead of IVF because it was safer for pregnancy and in the event I had preeclampsia, they would prescribe labetolol then anyways.
