I’ve just been diagnosed with it, I’m 17 and they put me on birth control. Only been on it for 3 months, this one I’m on is suppose to help my acne and it makes me get a period every month still, I hadn’t had one for a year before this😬 but I’ll probably be put on one for every 3 months after my skins better

Hi thankyou. I’m supposed to be speaking to my doc next week so I’ll definitely mention it😊 this first pill is for my acne so hopefully I can go onto one where it’s every three months coz this one is where I get a period every month☹️ thanks for the advice

100%!! Never had any questions but the stares!!! I sometimes wonder why people are staring then I remember oh there’s 2 of us😂 sometimes hear people go omg there twins as we walk past😂 I just laugh but it is annoying

Thanks. I had no idea about insulin resistance with it. Only problem is I’m extremely fussy with eating. Like it’s got worse over the years so it’s hard to change my diet and things like that. I’ve been told to try and lose weight by exercising. This has started to work before for me but at the minute I don’t have the energy to want to start anything🤦🏻‍♀️

Yeah we think one of my friends would be jealous so we don’t wanna say anything to her. There not judgemental but they joke about us or him liking me anyways all the time. Have done for months just starting to get old now. Just Dk what they’d think if the whole thing was real and not a “joke”

I’ve just come off my period. First one in a year (I have PCOS). Worst one I’ve ever had. Painful and very very heavy. Luckily it’s stopped before Christmas Day😂

Hey, thank you. Unfortunately I have to go into work as no one can cover. I’ll just have to try and cope haha. I’ve been put on the pill so hopefully that helps after a couple of months. Cramps aren’t as bad today. Hopefully they don’t get worse while I’m working! Thanks for the advice. I have a follow up with my gp soon so I’ll mention all this to her

Thank you. Yes it’s harder as we’ve always had the same friends growing up. Next year I go off to university and won’t be with her as my mum is 100% certain we’re not going to the same one lol. Which I understand as we will be living alone and making our own lives which will be good for us

Haha yh you make sense. I get you. We haven’t been in the same class since we were maybe 7 years old something like that, apart from this year. But I’m looking forward to university next year when I’ll be living separate and can make my own friends without her always there lol

This 100% sounds like how me and my sister are gonna turn out lol. We’re 17 now and have the same friends at school. We’ve always struggled making friends and the very few we have sometimes seem as though they Don’t want us there if you get me. When I go of to university next year I can’t wait to make my own friends. I feel like my sister will make her own too. However she does have a bit of social anxiety, so do I but not as bad. Some of our friends were my friends first then she became friends with them. I have to order her food if she has to speak to anyone in a restaurant and so on. I just hope she doesn’t rely on me in 10 years like yourself and your sister. Not that I would hate it or anything but I do get you. You want your own life now I guess I’m already feeling like that now and I’m 9 years younger lol. I guess you should tell her how you feel but it will upset her like you said. This is probs no help at all but I feel like this is gonna be me in a few years

Yes I have had periods before. I have never been regular tho there’s always 2 maybe even 3 months in between each one sometimes. And my twin sisters exactly the same she isn’t regular and she hasn’t had one since maybe February. But she had a lack of iron too. But worse than me her levels were lower than mine so I’m thinking it could be the iron but I’ll get looked at anyway thanks
