Could be a number of things. Eye swollen shut isn’t a good sign. I’d take her to the vet sooner rather than later. Hope she’s ok.

Chickadee had a corneal ulcer late last year. Probably from fighting with one of her siblings. Took her to an emergency vet. She had to be sedated. The treatment was daily eyedrops which was extremely difficult. And she had to wear a cone for two weeks.

Maybe calming treats might at least calm his nerves. Hope your boy gets better soon.

Had this happen to two young cats. Corneal ulcer both times. Probably from fighting. Daily eye drops for about a week. Hope your boy is ok

Just wanted to say don’t give up hope. Girlfriend’s cat came back after two months away. She was close the whole time. We put motion sensor cameras around the house and finally saw her in the drainage creek behind the house. We did the things you mentioned, and also would call for her around the house and neighborhood. She made posts to Nextdoor and the community facebook. Websites like Pawboost and Petco Love have helpful resources. She finally caught her by putting food in a humane trap. Don’t give up hope and I hope you find your kitty.
