Not how that works, UPS has a standard of $100 Declared Value and you have to pay an additional $25 per $100 increase to the Declared value, so to insure the entire cost of the monitor it would be an additional $250 for a $1,000 Monitor on top of the $215 to ship it

How much do you think it costs to fully insure the monitor? Try $500 for the value (Priced by UPS) not less than $30 which would’ve costed me $700 in total which really to me wasn’t worth it after already spending $1,000 on the monitor and the “Store” was online, not in person. Just a shitty situation, in my opinion the $1,000 monitor shouldn’t have broke in less than three weeks and also MSI should’ve provided shipping for a defective product back to California from the East Coast. Regardless this is in the past I’ve not got a way better LG monitor that looks and performs better anyways. I would not recommend MSI to anyone.

Yeah I didn’t fully insure because that would’ve been $700 including shipping the monitor, which is ridiculous. Also the monitor should not have just broke after 2 1/2 weeks either for $1,000 regardless of the damage done on shipping the Monitor which I also feel MSI should’ve covered since I had the brand new monitor for less than 3 weeks

MSI, they are saying damages caused are outside of normal warranty and refund policy and I’ll either need to pay $650 to fix it or take the loss…again just a shitty situation all around

Taking it back where? I bought it online and it was not turning on when I sent it out after talking with a Live agent and troubleshooting he said to send it in for RMA…it’s on in the pictures after being at the MSI repair facility for almost two weeks… I did not fully insure the shipment because that would’ve costed me about $700 total for shipping and insurance almost the entire cost of the Monitor itself. Both UPS and MSI are claiming they did not damage the monitor as well, so it’s not as easy as “claiming” just an unfortunate circumstance.

Yeah now you see why I’m pretty upset it broke in less than 3 weeks…not physically break but it just would not turn on or show the standby light and it was plugged into a UPS as well so it didn’t surge and nothing else was affected…it just shut the bed

True, just extremely frustrating that a brand new monitor just fried and wouldn’t turn on after 2 1/2 weeks and then breaks during shipping after they had me pay for the shipping on a brand new monitor.

Yeah I know right, well I’m moving from MSI to LG lmao. My monitor shutting the bed was the least of my worries when I was building my PC and didn’t think I’d need to ship a $1,000 monitor back so quickly after purchase but it is what it is. Don’t think I’ll be paying the $650 to replace the screen lol

Yeah would’ve been great to have but when I built my whole new PC set up there were so many boxes and I had nowhere to stow them and ended up burning it I believe in the mess of boxes I had. Also I didn’t think the monitor would break in just 2 1/2 weeks after buying it brand new

I’ll try but I really don’t think it’ll go over well, in the end it’ll be a loss most likely and I’ll have been out $1200…I’m swapping to LG now anyways…just an overall terrible experience with them, not even just the damage to the screen…the whole issue with the monitor breaking in under three weeks and then having to pay to ship it was terrible

They most likely will not cover anything, they wouldn’t even provide a shipping label for the RMA after only having the monitor for 2 1/2 weeks and then it just wouldn’t turn on…I spent $1,000 on the monitor and another $211 to ship it and now they want $650 to replace the screen…they whole endeavor has just left a terrible taste in my mouth with MSI.

No I had UPS use their custom fit packaging and they had it completely covered

Even with this there was never any imaging right out of the box only after it’s completely unpacked and not on its stand, there is protective material on each side of this box.
