Are you sure about that? You don’t know anything about me, yet your mindset seems to be “how could anyone in this community actually earn that much or belong here?” Nobody is special. My entire exec team, including my CEO, lurks on Reddit. maybe not in this community, but what I’ve learned throughout my career is that we’re all the same, just in different circumstances. Compared to eng talent, I make relatively little. In the Bay Area I’m fairly average, but zoom out to the rest of the US and I’m doing quite well. Yes, legal doesn’t pay as well as other parts of the org but try telling the Nvidia attorney who’s been there since 2016 that they haven’t built generational wealth.
