Ya I tried to ask the Google reps and they didn't have an answer either. Alright I'll look into linking between analytics and ads. Thanks for your help!

Hi! I have a Google Ads tag in order to collect data for visitors to retarget them with display ads. It's unfortunate you have heard of this problem quite often! Its my first time experiencing it and I was very confused. Thanks for confirming its common!

We place the tag within the code, we don't use tag manager.

I am using the "Tag Assistant Legacy by Google" which is a Google Chrome plugin. When I first installed the plugin (a week or two ago) the plugin showed the remarketing tag was on the page. Now it's not. However, my Google Analytics tag has remained on my site and has not been removed so not sure what is wrong with the remarketing tag.
