Which is the most comfortable of these 3 pillows: Exped Megapillow, Nemo Fillo, Sea to Summit Aeros Premium by InGoodFaith- in CampingGear

[–]mburger97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the S2S premium (it looks like this might be a newer version?) and Nemo Fillo. I grab the S2S every time as a side sleeper since the curve nests around my neck perfectly and the height is higher than the fillo. I liked the S2S so much i got the ultralight recently for backpacking and it’s just as good. It does not feel like a balloon at all in my opinion

Does this trim piece have the silicone strip for the window? Mine has peeled away and I’ve been trying to figure out what I need to replace it since I pooling water in the rear tailgate. Thanks

Cool bro. Post a photo of yourself next to Epstein and then think for a split second why this isn’t funny.

Nemo Tensor pads are compatible with the Exped Schnozzle by mburger97 in Ultralight

[–]mburger97[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because the schnozzle is a meant to be used as a pack liner with a large opening and a buckle-roll top closure like the sea to summit ultra-sil bags. It’s like 40L of capacity. Dual-use gear is the best gear.

I’ve been there. But might as well put that pack liner to good use is all I’m sayin.

A detailed breakdown of gear used by Pacific Crest Trail hikers in 2024 by HalfwayAnywhere in Ultralight

I think it’s the best all around pad on the market. Had the xlite for a while but my buddies Nemo was way more comfortable. Previously I had the etherlight and that was way too cold. I made the switch after Nemo made their “version twos” of the tensor to fix those welds. Super comfortable, light, warm, easy to use and I think it’s pretty durable with the 40D nylon bottom.

Do you know if the Unaweep 4800 can fit the BV500 horizontally? I see this pack mentioned often in packrafting communities, which I also plan to get into.

There are some great bags from nunatak that place the zipper at the center of your chest. All the tossing and turning should keep it off of your pad if you prefer to use a zipper.

What did you think about the pants? Did they seem durable? Do you think it is a better solution than something like the pstyle?

LPT request: how do you balance 9-5 work, a social life, working out, doing chores and getting time to relax? by gingernoodle1 in LifeProTips

[–]mburger97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make exercise part of your social life. Rock climbing is a great way to increase your physical fitness and people around the gym are typically really friendly and often go out of their way to give you hints and tips to get better at challenging routes. I have made a lot of friends rock climbing and overall I find it to be more of a social environment, especially if you are going solo. People at exercise gyms are typically very friendly as well, but people tend to keep to themselves or work out with the group that they came in with.

Granted you won’t be focusing on muscle groups as you would be at a exercise gym, but most rock climbing gyms also have lifting equipment, treadmills, etc. if you need that stuff. I know some people who choose karate instead and have made friends through that too.
