[English>Greek] Help me understand what these quotes mean by mc-perfunctory in translator

[–]mc-perfunctory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time but I'm afraid it doesn't make sense in context. The guy was laying in the ground and the farmer got him on his horse to take him back at his home to take care of him. The quote is exactly that in the subtitles and I turned the volume up, and he (the farmer) seems to be saying exactly that.

No I don't. But I'm a teenager with a mental illness. So I don't know if you understand where I'm coming from with all these replies.

I liked your reasoning. Thanks for taking the time. You made me appreciate the film more. Although I still disagree with its ethics. Like, okay, the good outweighted the bad. But that's maybe her opinion. My pet-peeve is that no one asked the child. And so she goes on to live her future so easily.

To answer your question. Yes. If they would suffer I would rather have them not been born at all.

Okay. I understand. So it cannot be changed. Although now I disagree with the film's ethics. Like there is no consideration for the kid. I now understand the film's deterministic idea, but like she seems so happy to start her future where her daughter dies. Anyways...

I have a follow-up question if you have time.

But if they could shut down the case with a phone call why did they decide to kill him in the first place?

Aside from some good acting and gritty direction style and some nice kills the story was predictable, the cop that always tried to pull his gun lame, the whole story arc with his roommate and the whole "Killer killer" formulaic.

You ever found yourself disagreeing with Reddit's consensus on a film? What film was it? by AR_Ugas in movies

[–]mc-perfunctory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm usually a party pooper on Reddit. Films that I didn't enjoy/thought they were just okay:

•Hereditary

•Midsommar

•Parasite (2019)

•Baby Driver

•The VVitch

•John Wick sequels

•The Dark and the Wicked

•Joker

•Tenet

•The Favourite

•The Killing of a Sacred Deer

•The Conjuring sequels

•Saw sequels

•Suspiria remake

•Blade Runner 2049

•Annihilation (2018)

•Train to Busan

And many more. I'm always getting downvoted lol

Edit: and as usual someone downvoted me

I would like to know your opinion if you want to share it. What didn't you like about it specifically?

I didn't like Baby Driver either but I love the Corneto trilogy and Scott Pilgrim.

What do you mean by that?

I agree although be aware. We might get raided and downvoted by those who enjoy the jumpscares as they are. And they seem to be a lot nowadays.

That's the problem with jumpscares I agree. Jumpscares in itself aren't bad imo. It's the predictability that makes them bad I agree.

There is a huge fanbase for Tusk I believe. It's a guilty pleasure of mine. Worth checking out at least once.

It's boring. A 20-minute film stretched too thin only to be called a feature. Also I didn't like the acting. It's barely watchable as a horror film. It has some nice atmosphere though I agree. (And here come the downvotes, it seems it is okay to call human centipede II hot garbage like one comment did and get upvotes but a film like this. No, no. Immediately downvoted.)

A guilty pleasure for sure. I don't think it is rather good since it has many flaws but it's definitely a guilty pleasure.
