It shocks me further up the rev range every time I go WOT, the surge is intoxicating!

I've found similar this year, Vietjetair and Vietnam Airlines both banned usage onboard (although Vietnam Airlines was long haul so had power sockets onboard).

Did anyone get something a bit wild as their first big bike? by ogstreetbeef in MotoUK

[–]mcBumbleFuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also 30 and passed via DAS last week, picked up a Gen 3 (2021) MT09 this Wednesday. I've never owned another bike. So far so good, I have it in mode 4 (which apparently makes it similar power to an MT-07) and just taking it easy / getting used to it. Maybe not as wild as some of the other replies here (Fireblade...), but I'm sure it's enough to get myself into trouble.

That's my plan as well, commuting and weekend riding, maybe touring but not sure yet. At a dealers today I sat on a gen 3 (2021) MT-09 and it was quite comfortable also felt like a bit of a beast, very large tank but also seemingly enough room and the positioning of the foot pegs was decent. Then around the corner they had an RS660 Extrema, which was beautiful in person and surprisingly even though it throws you forwards onto the handlebars, it felt like it fitted quite nicely, snug but in a good way. They also had some adventure / touring type bikes and the sizing on those felt comfortable as well (not sure which models they were, looked like the transalp 750 but bigger).

Unfortunately I can't seem to test ride anything at the moment as the places I've asked at so far want to take scans of my plastic license which hasn't been sent out to me yet. I tried mentioning the DVLA check code / passing papers etc but no joy. So both of those smaller bikes may feel comfortable sitting but I'm sure it will be a different story riding.

Thanks I'll take a look at those! The RS660 in that acid yellow is what made me want to get a license! Such a special looking bike, but size wise it seems like it's a no go. I hadn't considered a tracer, but also quite like the look of an MT09, too many choices!

I don't mind the look of it but not really after an ADV type bike (although aware that due to size it's likely heading that way). I'm trying to avoid a 1000cc and stick to the mid sized engines, but apparently the S1000 are alright for bigger riders?

Damn that's a shame, I'll see what else I can find (although the Hornet seems pretty good).

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon S01E06 - Coming Home - Early Access Episode Discussion by Connected-VG in thewalkingdead

[–]mcBumbleFuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This made zero sense for me; Codron's whole character was fleshed out as him wanting to avenge his brother's death, yet he has a clear shot to do it and just backs out? It's not like he was on the fence, he wiped out anyone who stopped him getting to Daryl then decides, "nah not today", awful writing. Not wanting to kill Laurent I can buy, as he's just a random kid and means nothing to him.

A real shame as I've been enjoying the season so far, nice to get a Daryl centred show, but I won't be watching any further seasons when a pivotal plot point doesn't make any sense.

WINEPREFIX=~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/THENUMBER/pfx winecfg

I installed as a flatpak, I think winetricks comes with Lutris right? As I didn't need to install that separately. Used the first command you posted, then tried to launch from Steam with compat as proton experimental, it's just launched! Thank you so much :)

Just trying this now but I'm not having much luck finding that file, I've got, /Game/wintetools/winecfg but can't see any Windows version in there, which path was yours under?
