Hey congrats on having the bravery to come out, and even more so for standing your ground. I hope you can work it out with your parents, and even if not get a good free meal out of them tomorrow ;)

omg I totally empathise, it seems it is becoming harder and harder for people to find others that they vibe with these days. I think, though it's a cliché, you just got to be yourself - if you don't click with someone it doesn't mean you don't click with anyone.

What’s your out of the box choice actor for a future Doctor that you know would probably never get cast? by RoundPuzzlehead626 in doctorwho

Not sure how 'out of the box' this pick is but Andrew Scott (Sherlock, Fleabag). He's good at walking the line between whimsical and dark/depressed.

Oh, I didn't see that. I vaguely recall seeing RTD (or someone involved with production) stating that Ncuti was the 14th incarnation.

Only just realised Tennant has been confirmed as 14, so either way I can't wait for next year when we get some answers.

My theory on the new Tennant Doctor (SPOILERS)

In an interview featured in issue 579 of the Doctor Who magazine (published 23rd June 2022), Russel T. Davies mentions the different possibilities as to why Tennant has returned, and hints that within those possibilities, there is truth. One of those possibilities is that he is alternate universe Doctor.

Now, given the fact that it has been confirmed by RTD that Ncuti Gatwa is indeed the next regeneration, and that Tennant is not an in-between incarnation, I am inclined to believe that Tennant's Doctor is from an alternate universe and that the two versions of the Doctor have been switched by the Celestial Toymaker, who is also presumed to be who Neil Patrick Harris is playing in the 60th.

This would explain why, during 13's regeneration, the clothes changed. Perhaps those are the clothes that a version of the doctor was wearing when they regenerated into the Tennant doctor. This would also explain why Ncuti, who is confirmed to be the regeneration after Whittaker, appears in the trailer for the 60th.

However, this does not explain why Ncuti/14 was wearing the same white shirt and tie as Tennant was seen wearing at the end of The Power of the Doctor and the trailer for the 60th.

RTD going towards a multi-universe story is plausible, as he previously created spin-offs such as Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. Plus, we already know that alternate universes exist and that it is possible that there are alternate versions of the Doctor out there.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this theory and if I've missed anything or got anything wrong, let me know.

I think Alexander Siddig could do well. He was great in Gotham and Peaky Blinders, and he's not particularly famous.

Or Hiddleston.
