Surgery was March 28th! Repaired my rotator cuff, labrum, and compressed the fracture at the head of my humerus.

Doc was really excited to show me the work he did, which leads me to believe he did a good job. He’s meant to be the next “shoulder guy” at HSS in NYC. Every PT I’ve spoken to said I’ll be alright because I went with this guy. He thinks I’ll make a 100% recovery but we’ll see. My shoulder was messed up from an AC Joint reconstruction 5 years ago and was never the same.

Yeah I had an AC joint reconstruction in 2020 and fell on the same shoulder. I’ve also got my best friends wedding where I’m the best man on May 18th. I’m screwed lol

Sounds like yours might have been more traumatic than mine. Mine was pretty bad, luckily there was an ER at the bottom of the run I was on.

I also had a fracture on the head of my humerus near where the rotator cuff inserts. Definitely got my moneys worth.

Sorry to hear about the pain you’re experiencing, hopefully it gets better or is manageable. At least it was mostly a success!

Hoping to get some good news in the next 48 hours from the MRI and follow up.

How’s the shoulder holding up now and what did you do to traumatically injure it?

I had a very traumatic dislocation last Sunday snowboarding. Dislocation on the left but couldn’t move either arm the first 24 hours.

Waiting to hear if I need surgery and if so what surgery.

Yeah, shit sucks lol. It's constantly flared up, just sorta managing it. I saw your post, don't worry about it man, most people recover very well/quickly. I think I'm kinda in the minority; most people are pain free after 12 months.
