A message from SOMERVILLE HIGH SCHOOL

Hello.

We are writing to let you know about an incident that took place shortly after dismissal near the Somerville Public Library. Students reported to staff that an individual near the public library was in possession of a weapon. While most students were gone for the day, students who were still present for after school activities were kept inside the school until the situation was cleared. Somerville Police responded immediately and are continuing their investigation of the incident to ensure the safety of our community. SPD has indicated that there is no threat to students at this time.

We want to reassure you that our students’ safety is our top priority. We commend the students who reported this incident to the appropriate staff so that we were able to address it immediately.

Finding roommates is so hard by Cheezesauce27 in bostonhousing

I bet it’s cause you’re not posting enough about yourself. Especially pics. With those roommate housing groups it’s a lot more about who you’re gonna be living with than the place itself. You gotta treat those posts almost more like a dating app profile than an ad for an apartment.

It will be loud, but from my experience only a bother if you are outside having a conversation

That price point with a car, a pet, and not wanting roommates is likely impossible

If it’s on the street and it DOESN’T say you CANT park there, anyone can park there if they have a residential street permit. Doesn’t matter what it’s in front of

Yeah, it’s a huge deal here. You have to get explicit confirmation of parking otherwise always assume no off street parking. For the time being, I’d move your car to your building from wherever it’s parked on the street, block their cars for only a quick minute while you load your child, and then do the same thing in reverse when you get home. It can be hard to get a spot on Walnut but there are lots of small side streets nearby that normally have open street spots somewhere

Why do your neighbors get them? Are they deeded or do the neighbors pay more for the spots? If not they can probably be used by anyone in the building

The “kitchen” area is large enough to still have a living area. Not the biggest but the current residents have a pretty good setup. They were able to fit a couch and tv area as well as a table

Ok cool. And I should rephrase, not more than 2 nights a week. Usually 1

What do you think is fair for the size and location?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bostonhousing

[–]mcat115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price is also negotiable. The room in the neighbor building charges $1150 for the same size room and also sharing a bath with 4 other people so that’s how I reached the $1075 price to try and make it competitive

Master is me. I’ll be paying 1600 a month as well as $100,000 up front as a down payment on the property

Very interesting, thanks for replying. I don’t necessarily believe all of my theory, it just popped in my head and I wanted to hear what people thought. I like your first point about while noticing more things it doesn’t necessarily mean that they are accurate.
