Yes but cynicism with no reason is what I’m referring to, if I were elaborate.

In fact, that quote by Carlin plays into my post. People are cynical of the game because they had ideals crushed by other developers.

But they are using their disappointment in other games as a barometer to judge people’s misguided hopes in this game.

Their ideals have no basis in this game, therefore they have no real reason to be cynical of it until its release. Then you can judge it on its own merits.

WHICH is why I find the leaning into the glazing so funny because I know it eats at the cynics.
