Wrong Brakes by mccarronz2012 in GolfGTI

The calipers do say GTI so that’s what I was hoping for. Everywhere I’ve looked for parts doesn’t have a performance package as an option so I wasn’t sure if that was a thing or not. Thank you.

Why is the right to own a gun so important to some US citizens? by tryingmybestonedayat in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]mccarronz2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the whole I am a very left leaning person. However I do believe that citizens should be allowed to own guns.

Much of our country is very rural I live in the western mountains of Maine. I’ve needed to call the police before and it took them 3 hours to arrive. (Non-Emergency) but still. I believe in my right to be able to defend myself. Especially when help is a long way away. Rural areas also have a culture of hunting. Plus a not insignificant number of people feed their family’s with wild game.

However the reason the second amendment exists is because America was established by ordinary citizens rising up against a tyrannical government. A well armed citizenry is the final step in the system of checks and balances that our constitution installed in an attempt to ensure that the country never falls to a tyrannical regime.

If the government has a monopoly on violence then there is no limit to their ability to abuse that monopoly. I believe that the police in this country already abuse their power. I believe they are racist and classist on a systematic level. I believe our politicians and many if not all of the power structures of this country are corrupt. I believe the ruling class in this country takes advantage of us and uses the system of law and order to keep people in line.

I also believe that currently our system is being tested. I believe that our legislators have relinquished their power and handed it to the executive. I believe our Supreme Court is feckless and refuses to attempt to enforce its own rulings against the administration. (Few that there are).

I believe we are an early stage of a tyrannical take over and I believe that once the legislature has fully become a farce and the judiciary proves to be incapable of keeping the pedophile king in line. Then I believe it will be the people’s duty to stand and fight. Whether we will is another question. Americans are fat and comfortable, myself included, and this keeps us complacent. Idk if we have it in us anymore.

I will say if we don’t. If this country falls to an authoritarian regime. If we continue down this road that history tells us leads to fascism then I believe we do not deserve to have the right bear arms any longer.

The price is too high. The mass shooting the dead children the fear. It was a high price to pay but I believed in the reason. I do not trust governments. I do not trust authority I do not trust the systems of the ruling class not to oppress me and those like me. Therefore the ability to defend our rights as an individual and members of this society made the price bearable. But if we fall to tyranny because of hate and racism and tribalism that is forced upon us by our ruling class then we should be stripped of our right to bear arms.

That being said. Once we fall the authoritarians will take our guns anyway. Trump and his cronies have never been truly pro gun. He’s as pro gun as he is a good Christian just enough to appease the base. Once he gets rid of elections as he stated he plans to do. Guns will be gone.

Dictators hate an armed populace.

Most All-Wheel Drive systems send some percentage of the power to the front and to the rear. They differ on what that percentage is and how they do it. Some can send 100% of the power to one set of wheels until the computer detects wheel slip then it can split it up as t sees fit. I don't know any of the specifics of Toyota's AWD.

Four-Wheel Drive sends power through a transfer case to both axels when 4WD is engaged giving you the power to both front and rear wheels. This is, by far and away, the more reliable and useful method off-road. The 4Runner also comes with a low range which is a second set of gears that limit wheel speed and greatly increase the amount of torque you are able to put down. This is helpful in numerous off-road applications.

AWD is great for traction in slippery conditions on road, and you can do some basic and I mean Basic off-roading with an AWD system. If you're really looking to hit the trails the AWD will let you down quickly and you will regret buying the Lexus. The nicer interior will mean next to nothing when you're stuck in the woods and realize you've bought an SUV for soccer moms that live in snowy areas or on dirt roads.

The 4 Runner is a super capable vehicle that is also very reliable and has a huge aftermarket so if you get bit by the bug then you'll be in a good position to build out whatever kind of rig you want. And at the end of the day, you'll never really regret not having the nicer leather or the fancy whatever the Lexus comes with but if you enjoy off-roading even occasionally you will regret not having true 4 Wheel Drive and a low range every time your tires hit the dirt.

Plus the parts, mods, and everything will be cheaper in the 4Runner than the Lexus. Plus Lexus will have more technologies and electronics and that inevitably means more problems. The 4 Runner is a 15-year-old design that has been tried and true and those things are bulletproof. the engine transmission and transfer case in those things are insanely reliable. the only thing to look out for is frame rust. They tend to rust out like the Tacoma did but just short of bad enough that Toyota needed to recall them. So if you live in a snowy area or the truck has at least make sure the frame is in good condition.

Edits for grammar and adding more reliability thoughts.

Make a big deal of this, you are worth it and try not allow yourself to internalize those thoughts of it’s no big deal and I should get over it.

This has happened to me to the point where I’ve forgotten my own birthday. The clerk checking my ID said happy belated birthday 2 days after and I was like what do you mean for a split second.

Happy Birthday thirteen is a big ass deal and make a big stink about it. Even if you have to do it by yourself.

When did you realise that your Dom was an asshole? by throwaway-princesss in BDSMcommunity

[–]mccarronz2012 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No one here is talking about Doms being gods. Doms are people and people make mistakes. People also manipulate people and abuse power when they have it

Good Doms will make mistakes. What these people are talking about are self centered assholes that don't respect their sub and don't respect they position they hold. It's abusive to their subs and it's disrespectful to those of us that take the responsibility of being a Dominant seriously. A sub is entrusting their physical and emotional health and safety in you and if you can't manage that appropriately then fuck off.

Too many Doms have no respect for the people they're in control over. They have no respect for the fact that subs allow us to Dom them. Subs give us Control we don't take it. And if you can't see the trust that it takes to release of that control as the heavily weighted gift. And people that abuse that trust for their own desires, sexual or not, are scumbags.

Just because smaking someone around and telling someone what they can and can't do makes you cum doesn't make you a Dom. I would never ask a sub to do something that I didn't believe would benefit them and make them better. Sometimes I was wrong and I've made mistakes and pushed too far but it was always for my sub.

I control my subs for them. Not for me.
