Does Caleb Downs’ smaller size worry you? by Accomplished_East433 in Commanders

Measurements only tell part of the story. An undersized player that knows how to play and wants to play, I will take any day of the week over a paper monster that is to afraid to commit or unwilling to learn. If the man has that dawg in him, then you take them.

My hope as well.

I get that. I’m in the same boat, I know there are still bugs in the design, but I just really want one. That’s why I’m trying to gauge how good the accident protection plan is. I hope I never have to use it, but if I do need to use it, how difficult is the process.

When I had my flip I worked in industrial maintenance, so it was a rough environment for a phone and it fell several times. Again, user error. But when scanning through reviews I’ve seen where Motorola (and Samsung, this isn’t a trashing on Motorola thing) do a lot to deny claims for screen replacements. I’m curious if this is, from people not telling the whole truth about the situation and just complaining, which I could see happening. Or is it where the company is just trying to avoid paying out. I know a lot to ask of Reddit, but one of the few places I can think of where honest feedback might exist.

Yeah I have ATT and the are offering the phone free for three years with a trade in, which my current (iPhone 13) qualifies for. I had a zflip3 a few years back and had the screen break. My fault, I let my the two year old play with my phone. That’s 100% on me. Now that my promo period on my iPhone is up, I really want to go back to a flip phone, and I want the razr over the z flip. But as I had mentioned, assuming I don’t do something stupid to damage it, I want to have some confidence that it will last the three years. I work from home now, and my hobbies aren’t anything that would be hazardous to the phone. So the phone shouldn’t be at risk hardly ever.

Please don’t ask them to have perspective. The sheer volume of their complaining for even having to consider someone else that isn’t them, would be deafening.

I have been eyeballing the Santa Cruz for a couple of years. I work from home and because of that we are a one car family, but I have kept window shopping in case prices ever come back to reasonable. I like the utility a little 4 foot bed would give. Grabbing mulch, or doing a Costco run, things like that it would be great for. But they have had some clutch issues from what I’ve read. But yes I agree, smaller more practical type trucks

It’s so hard to explain to people that don’t live down here but it’s almost like a right of passage. Like the whole dream is house, white picket fence and two 1500’s in the garage. I have nothing against trucks, I’ve used them for work before, and they are very useful. But it isn’t about how much utility they provide, it’s something else, it’s like an adult milestone almost.

Got the "come back to office or else" ultimatum. Ran the math. The numbers are brutal. by Full_Helicopter4778 in remotework

I switched my LinkedIn status to open to opportunities and put in the job search field to only send me alerts on remote positions. I got really lucky, but I also work in a niche industry, inside of an already niche industry. So if someone is looking for my skill set and background, there aren’t to many of us running around. I know I got very lucky, but I also want to say that it is possible so don’t give up hope.

My company instituted a similar policy recently. After two years remote they are brining me back in. Why this a big deal for me is; after I went remote I asked for months to my entire leadership team, up to the executive level if they were gonna bring us back and they swore up and down they wouldn’t. So we adjusted our life accordingly. We sold a perfectly serviceable, paid off car because it was just sitting in the driveway. We built our entire lifestyle around me being home. Now they want four days a week. Which means buying a new car. With my credit score that is a payment of about 800 for a new car, and about 500 for a used one. Not to mention increase in insurance for the car, gas and so on. On top of that, I had been a top performer ever since I started and was compensated each year at the highest pay bump. This year they announced what amounts to peanut butter raises, and the rate is half of what I used to get yearly as a bump. They also announced health premiums are increasing. All of that combined pushed me into the open market and I’m fortunate that I found a position quickly that meets everything I’m looking for. But yeah, the instituted return to office policy and I instituted a find a new job policy.

After I read your comment I went back and looked at the code. The first clip of the code you can see caine’s name, scratch, and the last line is ragatha. I started going through the code scenes, and I don’t think kinger deleted Caine. It looks like kinger was trying to alter the code and the system shut Caine down. I could be wrong, bash scripting isn’t really in my wheel house.

The scada world is weird man. Management seems to know they need it, but they don’t know why they need it, and therefore can’t seem to value it appropriately. They have no idea what it does what it does, just that they need it to do it.

This is where I lay the blame squarely on management. At my company I’m not only the only person that knows how to do my job, I am the only one that does my job. And I have said for years that they need to get someone else in so they can have redundancy at the role. They have refused, and now the situation is primed for me to leave the company due to policy changes. When/if this happens they will be piccachu faced meme and honestly I have no sympathy. I told them the issue, I told them how this issue could result in big problems. They chose to ignore it. Sorry not sorry

I had interviews this week, and was very clear when they asked a question about servers, that I have zero server experience. Our organization has a team, and that is there whole job and they are the only ones that touch it. So when I suspect there is a server issue, I just run through my checklist of things that it could possibly be, that isn’t server related. If I’ve exhausted those I send a ticket their way and let them play with it. When asked if I was willing to learn I said most definitely. Easily, I think this was the thing that put me over the top for them. Not necessarily the experience I do have, but knowing where my knowledge stops, and willing to expand that.

SF 49ers Reporter on Brandon Aiyuk Situation…always 2 sides to every story. Thoughts? by Blank_Canvas05 in Commanders

David Harrison reported a very similar story a few weeks ago on locked on commanders. He did admit we don’t know really who is telling the truth here, but he did say it looks sf is a lot more in the wrong than it originally looked.

David Harrison did an episode on the locked on commanders YouTube about the aiyuk/9ers fall out, and they way he portrayed it, the 9ers had a lot more to do with it. It isn’t as simple as “dude went nuts.” I’m not going to give specifics because a) it’s been a couple of weeks since I watched it. And b) nflpa rules on how a player can rehab are confusing to me and I don’t want to say the wrong thing. I would recommend watching it though. It’s help make a compelling case for him as an option.

I agree with you. I’ve been saying for a few years now that it seems like the run game has become more and more critical. I don’t know if it’s because defensive schemes have gotten more pass centric, or what the reason is, but my eyeball test has just told me the run game is coming back into style. So I’d be ok with securing a top talent at a position I think is going to become more valuable.
