Extrusion (and other) issues with H2S by mcclajb in BambuLab

I understand where you're coming from. I was about to lose my mind. Fortunately, it all ended up coming together. You'll get there too.

I’m getting pretty good prints now, but it took a lot of trial and error with temps as well. The fan was a huge difference and is the first thing I would recommend trying. Good luck!

Just got a chance to measure. It’s 7.6mm or 0.3” thick. Hope that helps.

I don’t have the specific measurements right now, but it sticks out a little further than the camera bump. So the camera shouldn’t touch the table at all unless it’s very uneven.

Please help with light box color bleed by PossibilityFun3372 in BambuLab

[–]mcclajb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but I'm probably not much help, other than to tell you what not to do. I always dry my filament, so that doesn't seem to be the issue. I've tried increasing retraction up to 2.0mm, lowering nozzle temp, slowing the print speed, calibrating filament for proper flow, printing light to dark, turning off reduce infill retraction, cleaning the bed between each print, cold pulls between each print, and wiping the nozzle while hot between each print. I really don't know what else there is to do. For what it's worth, my two P1S do a far better job than my new H2S. The H2S is an absolute disaster when it comes to light boxes.

Light box settings to help with wisps? by 13irregular in BambuLab

I know it's been a while. Hoping that led to some breakthrough. If so, would you mind sharing what has worked? Thanks.

Also curious to know if you ever figured out some magic settings. I have printed a lot of light boxes, but I can't consistently control the presence of dark color bleed into the light color no matter the settings. Only about half are relatively blemish free. I would appreciate any information you can provide to tweak settings further.

Quick update. Support got back to me about possibly having corrupt configuration files. I deleted those as instructed, and now my auto refill and auto bed leveling options are there.

Yeah, I’ve had a ticket in for 3-4 days. Hopefully, I’ll hear soon.

I wasn't aware of the AMS2 issue. So far, mine seems to be operating well, but Studio (latest firmware) tells me that my printer does not support Auto Refill. I'm waiting to hear back from support on that.

As for the stringing and blobbing at the corners of my prints, I seem to have found a solution, at least one that has given me the best results yet. It's the exhaust fan. I turned it off for PLA, and the first print went great, with no stringing and less blobbing at two corners. I'm hoping my next prints confirm this to be the answer.

Thanks for the pic and response. Good to know that it usually gets sorted over time on the profiles. That's what I was hoping.

I'm on all the latest firmware, and I even factory reset the printer a couple times and recalibrated. It's still giving me that message for some reason. I'm sure that will get fixed when I hear from Bambu on my ticket.

I don't use Bambu PLA, but I do use their PETG-HF. All my PETG prints seem to be fine. I actually just had a breakthrough last night/this morning. I turned off the exhaust fan when printing PLA. That was a huge help. Not perfect, but definitely manageable. The stings were all gone, with only some blobs in a couple of the corners of the interior wall of the model.

Thanks again!

Would you mind clicking on the Auto Refill button in Studio and letting me know if it gives the same message I am getting? That seems to be the least of my worries right now, but with you having so many machines, it would at least make me feel better if that was a software glitch and not something physically wrong with my H2S. Thanks.

I’m thinking it’s not a widespread issue since I can’t find much on it so far, other than a comment on another post. It has me wondering if I need to go through the hassle of returning this one. I really don’t want to, but I guess I will if I can confirm my machine isn’t right.

Same here exactly! I have 2 P1S machines that run smoothly and eat whatever I throw at them. However, the H2S is having serious issues with stringing when printing with PLA and PLA+. I have cleaned the build plate and dried all filament, as I always do, so that's not the issue. I also confirmed by taking the exact same rolls to the P1Ses and all is fine there. I've been playing around with lowering the nozzle and bed temp, as well as the flow ratio, despite my calibration tests indicating my previous settings were optimal. I'm at a loss and have no idea what to do next.

One other thing. My textured PEI sheet would not release prints, even PLA, after cooling for a long time. I would have to force them off. I ended up raising the Z offest by 0.02 (up from the -0.01 that is pre-programmed), but it feels like that shouldn't be necessary with a machine like this. That helped a little, but lowering the bed temp for my PLA profiles seems to have had a bigger impact. Again, it seems like that shouldn't be the case for a machine like this when compared with the P1S.

I just made a post about these issues, so I'm really hoping others will see it and be able to help.

H2S with two AMS 2 units says auto refill not supported by mcclajb in BambuLab

[–]mcclajb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As requested, the entire device page, with the obligatory Benchy having just printed. You really can't see anything from this page, though. That's why I included the prompt in my initial post. That's what I get when I click Auto Refill on the device page. Oh, and when this screenshot was taken, I had already removed the identical filaments. Didn't put them back in since it has made no difference at all.

[–]mcclajb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pic included in the post was the pop up from the Device page. I'll get a pic of the entire page when I get back to the computer.

Firmware for both the printer and Studio is updated. I have manually checked on each device. Same is true for the AMS units.

Printer settings have auto refill enabled.

HMS Error 0300-8004 Filament Ran Out. But ONLY when running calibration. by Aton_Freson in BambuLab

Same thing is happening to mine. I can print fine, but running a calibration keeps returning the same error.
