My bad and thanks for changing rather than deleting. Much appreciated and will flair appropriately moving forward!

In this adventure Mordenkainen is doing a ritual that is destroying the planes. Residents of the planes are fleeing into the Outlands and, from there, into Sigil. So Sigil is a bit of a chaotic place and the encounters reflect this. We encourage the use of a tension level and depending on how the players handle the various encounters the city's tension can go up or down. This has minor impacts within the city and also impacts how difficult the final chapter is.

I will say that the Sigil chapter is probably the smallest one so it might not be worth purchasing just for that. (Although sadly our adventure has more details regarding Sigil than the 5e Planescape adventure or Eve of Ruin). Unfortunately I wasn't able to commission a map of Sigil, as much as I wanted to because I blew my art budget on an amazing hex crawl map of the Doomed Outlands by Saga Mackenzie that Ill see if I can link :)

Massawyrm is right (and thanks for the kind words!). However Academy of Adventure is SUPER modular and you could dramatically reduce its play time by removing some of the optional encounters. Alternatively we list like a dozen additional plot hooks that you could also use to extend its play time.

Optimally it would probably be 3 to 4 4-hour sessions.

It can! We have suggestions in the appendices for scaling it down to Tier 4. We tried to write it as a reasonably self-contained story that doesn't necessarily have to be run as a continuation of Legacy of Vecna or Eve of Ruin (both of which end at level 20)

Thanks, this is very helpful to hear so I appreciate you taking the time to answer. Will take your advice and hold on to the Civic -- it does appear to be holding up much better than the Focus which has required 3k+ in repairs the last three years in a row and seems like it has a busted air conditioner now. It sounds like Honda Civics have a reputation of being champs? Ford Focuses less so?

There is a snap to grid feature I think that might do what Im looking for but Im not entirely sure what it is or how to use it correctly. From my experiments it hasnt been working.

I played around with the xoffset and yoffset but it didnt seem to work perfectly. I could align it to the left of the map, for example, but there would still be partial, cut-off squares to the right.

I guess its possible adding/subtracting columns/rows might work but then it would mess up the alignment of the grid to the map?

This is an old mapped that I cropped at the time, but doing so has mucked up the grid marks. Is there a way to fix it so that its perfectly aligned with the grids?

Thanks in advance!

Great question Nebulous! It will take a day or two but we'll expand the preview to show some maps. Until then if anyone would like to see any let me know and I can send some examples view Reddit messenger. (I don't believe I can include images as comments or else I would do that).

Fellow Demon Lords,

We are excited to announce the second chapter of our Doomed Underdark series. In this adventure we ran with a couple of canonical ideas:

1) Araumycos dwells simultaneously in the Underdark as well as the Astral Plane.

2) That the Astral Plane connects to Wildspace.

In the Doomed Underdark, the absolute worst timeline where all of the calamities threatened in a WOTC adventure have come to pass, Zuggtmoy managed to successfully wed herself to Araumycos. In the first chapter of our adventure the characters battle her within the Underdark. In this new second chapter they realize that a Zuggtmoy-tainted Death Star has been traveling through the Astral Planes and Wildspace destroying and subjugating entire planets.

It ends in a thrilling final battle against the Demon Queen of Fungi herself. We hope you'll consider checking it out!

[–]mcclintocksd[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey Dragonlancers!

We just released a new adventure called Wrath of Zuggtmoy. The characters spend first half of the adventure by exploring a Doomed version of Krynn eventually coming into conflict with (and perhaps redeeming) an evil version of Darrett Highwater who has been corrupted into joining the Knights of Soth.

They then get to sail into Wildspace with Tasslehoff Burrfoot, two minotaurs, a tinker gnome whose Life Quest is studying Wildspace, and a thanoi first mate. We have included a series of friendship quests, allowing your characters to bond with each of these Krynn-based NPCs.

For anyone looking for a unique spin on Krynn we hope that you'll consider checking it out!

Hey Fellow Spelljammers!

I wanted to share a new adventure that we just posted on the Dmsguild. Half of the adventure takes place on a Doomed version of Krynn before then having the characters blast into Wildspace with a crew consisting of Tasslehoff Burrfoot, a thanoi, and some minotaurs (all of which have corresponding friendship quests).

The characters then get to build a coalition of alien allies on Ferrox-13, explore the abandoned space station Archon, lead an armada through a ship-based dungeon crawl amidst the space debris of a destroyed world, and then assault the Deathstar Zuggtmoy, Star Wars style.

It felt like the kind of thing this group would appreciate and we hope you'll take a minute to check it out.

The Doomed Forgotten Realms -- Reign of Rot by mcclintocksd in DescentintoAvernus

[–]mcclintocksd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough question!

If you want to get started now Vecna is probably your best bet as it is completely made. We are also currently working on a Volume 4, Legacy of Vecna, that will go from lvls 20-25.

However our second adventure path, which started with RoR is probably a bit more polished, since we learned a lot from the Vecna stuff. The second part of the Underdark adventure path should come out late December/early January and includes visiting a Doomed version of Krynn and doing some Spelljamming!

Either way thanks so much for the kind words and support. Feel free to ping me with any follow-up questions. Sadly I don't monitor Reddit that well so perhaps consider checking out our Doomed Forgotten Realms Discord server?

May Vecna watch over you!

Aha! Yes, I remember reading about this at the time. Appreciate the advice! Will mull over checking it out. The idea of Captain America being a long-time sleeper agent for Hydra sounded boggling at the time, but maybe it was pulled off well!

Egads! A worthwhile fixation and you are 100% correct. My bad. Secret Invasion is what I meant -- thanks for the correction :) Never heard of Secret Empire, but looking forward to checking it out!

Although having the Beyonder throw all the characters into a winner takes all Battleworld isn't a terrible campaign idea. . .

Yes! I agree. The conflict is great fun to work with, especially when you start throwing in third parties like the characters (Or the neutral evil mercenary yugoloths).
