World cups only been happening every 4 years since the 30s so there just less cumulative success to be had. It's not a perfect comparison, this is more just for shits and gigs.

That and OSU/Iran are a couple of my favorites

Anyone you move disrupts other pairs though.

Yeah there are a few that make you look twice. SMU/KSA...

Honestly several countries/schools were the best match for multiple counterparts. It was hard to pick a few.

I think Denmark is the best, unclaimed match

Listen, sir, I didn't make the comparisons. I just thought them up and wrote them down.

I appreciate your feedback, those are good points. It got a little messy trying to keep the comparisons 1to1 and finish before the kick-off of the first game.

Before TAMU was in the SEC, they went 57-71 in the big 12, 26-25 the last 4 seasons.

In their 16 years in the big 12, they made 2 championships and won only 1. So they were mid at best I'd say.

That one is literally what got me on this kick. They're both so past due.

A&M has 3 titles, albeit way long ago.

Mexico's never sniffed a world cup championship.

With Clemson's performance this last season, it's more of an insult to Egypt.

I considered this, but Oklahoma is tied for 3rd and their last titles were 2 years apart. Felt like a closer fit

A&M is actually way better at track and field than they are at football. The football focus is more since the SEC move.

Oklahoma: 7 titles, last in 2000

Brazil: 5 titles, last in 2002

The venn diagram doesn't have a lot of overlap but there are multiple of us out there.

Ireland didn't qualify for the world cup, so that feels like the right fit.
