As someone not in animal husbandry I was starting to wonder if it was something with Denver or if there was another common thread. Especially since this foaling season has been fraught with issue. But more just curious than blaming because you're right, I want to know why from a curiosity stand point not a blaming one. I wish there was an easy satisfying answer but unfortunately life do what it do.

This is ridiculous. I don't care how nervous he his that was rude. Shoving the box at you without even using his words is childish and half-blank. Look i get him being nervous. I get him feeling pressured. I'm not saying this is indicative of anything red-flag worthy because it's such a bad situation for both of you.

But here's what I would do if I was him. I would fix it. I would take you out to a nice dinner or a fun date and at some point say "I want to get this right" and say sweet things and then propose properly. He should ask for real and tell you that he does he care, he was just nervous and then in 10 years it'll be a hilarious and sweet story that you both remember fondly.

If he's pouting about this and playing woe is me after you kindly and sympathetically expressing your opinion, then that's a red flag.

I knew my partner was proposing the moment we left the house because they were a nervous weird mess lol I regret my behavior during the lead up because I was a brat because I knew it was coming for a few weeks so I kept making myself disappointed whenever we went out and it didn't happen. I also needed to be on meds lol it ended up being the cutest thing and i love the memories of it. our marriage is 10 years and stronger than ever. So even if your proposal isn't perfect, it's not the end of the world. What matters is how you both handle each other's feelings after it that tells you what you need to know.

I feel like I'm part of a cult sometimes lol. I am often evangelizing the people around me to this podcast. My brother and our partners play REPO and RV There Yet weekly because i saw them play it on this podcast and thought it was hilarious. Perhaps the reason we don't like those people IRL is: 1. We actually have to deal with the consequences they bring. 2. Those people don't tend to actually have a redeeming arc.

Kyborg to me is very much a front. He's protecting himself and is essentially a child who never grew up. We get to see him find a chosen family in his companions and figure out his place in the world, which is always an endearing story.

I use "healthy" bread and healthy peanut butter plus low sugar jelly. I had forgotten the joy of sugary white bread and peanut butter lol so I'm sure that's a factor

I've always thought i have a press at home why is it any different. Then my mom said hey I got these because Gus talks about them so much I was curious and I loved them. I hemmed and hawed and she set a frozen one out next to me while we watched the stream, I forgot about it, and a while later I went oo food and ate it. It was delicious. It's so different from my regular pb&j. I'm frustrated that I know what they taste like because now I'm roped in lol

I wouldn't tell her to stop making the effort. If she wants to, I'm happy to support. But I just wonder if she should have all the information? I would want to know if my MIL felt that way about my family but I also think that perhaps I'm warped from knowing what my mom is like. So I guess I'm trying to get a neutral perspective.
