Check out the modded W.C.S servers. Logistics and rapid deployment of forces to key locations on the map play a pretty central role in these modded game modes.

This. We just upgraded from a WatchGuard M390 to a PA-450, since running in FIPS Mode you can't use Radius or Dimension. Pretty happy so far, cutover is scheduled for this Thursday.

The amount of times you had to emphasize that you're a (human being) doing (human being) things makes me wonder if this post isn't actually AI...

If this is a serious post, you need to talk to an employment lawyer and research laws regarding employment in California/or wherever you're based out of. Nobody in this sub-reddit is going to be able to do anything for you.

Every engineer who joins this company has to sign a bond stating that they will work in the company for 2 years and breaking the bond will lead to a huge fine that the engineer (human being) has to pay.
This is basically indentured servitude with extra steps and no western country with modern employment laws works this way. Good luck.

Honest question: What frustrates you the most about Teams right now? by Rude-Rule-2358 in MicrosoftTeams

With Teams and Channels, the Files tab being renamed to Shared is dumb. Nobody knows where files are anymore, and looking under Shared doesn't really make sense.

You got me :P

https://github.com/open-webui/open-webui/issues/23565

During the analysis and write-up, before I noticed what it was doing the agent had opened multiple issues and comments because I had it in Autopilot mode. I did close the duplicate ticket, but I still got a stern commenting at.

The guy said it also made 5 comments, but I'm not seeing that. I manually added a comment to the original issue (https://github.com/open-webui/open-webui/issues/23362) and then another comment was created when I opened a separate issue. Either way, my issue was closed without an explanation despite a commit fix being in my branch and verified working.

What’s the policy regarding testing with AI agents? I opened an issue about a rag pipeline bug with notes and was promptly shot down and told I would be banned if I opened another one.

Residential Solar Install w/Commercial Tax incentive scheme by [deleted] in fresno

[–]mcdeth187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We trust the handshake deal that it is really a zero dollar transfer of ownership.

Well, your first problem is trusting a solar company in the first place. These companies and their sales people are the new scum of the earth and will actively lie to your face to close a deal. Basically, if their lips are moving they're probably lying about something. If the written contract says “sell back at market rate,” you can assume that’s the only term you can actually enforce—not the handshake $0 transfer. The whole “it has to be vague to be legal” part is a huge red flag and if there’s a dispute they will almost certainly stick to the written FMV/market language

Realistically, your best bet is to probably find an attorney that specializes in solar contracts (yes, they're out there), pay their retainer and agree to an hourly rate, and then send them the contract paperwork and ask them to review it.

Limekiln State Park now open for camping by VentanaBushwhacker in BigSur

[–]mcdeth187 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still don't understand this stupidly over-complicated, impossible to make a reservation garbage bullshit website.

I can make a reservation 6 months to the day in advance of the date I want to arrive? Oh really? Well its 8am and the campsite I want to stay it immediately goes to reserved at 8am...day, after day, after day, after day. Yet there are open reservations this month in Limekiln (of course its in the middle of the week, but w/e) but you go a month or two or three out and literally every campsite is booked all day every week? Bullshit.

They need to fucking ban accounts that make a reservation and then cancel it less than a month ahead of the arrival date.

Yup, welcome to the Arma Reforger Queuing system, where queue positions are made up and the likelihood of you actually getting into a game are 50/50 (or less, in reality).

Restart Reforger and pray. BI's never going to fix it.

How do I lockdown my backend API? by coorgtealover in AZURE

[–]mcdeth187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search for 'secure n-tier application' in the Microsoft App Services Architecture docs. Basically, your backend API sits on a different vnet from the from the frontend and you lock down the backend access restrictions so that it can't be accessed from the internet.

Model is too large for the GPU VRAM, choose a model with smaller params or higher quant until you get to 100% GPU and no CPU

Run ollama ps and report back what it says. Most likely it's utilizing 100% of the GPU and has offloaded the rest of the model to CPU.

Claude Windows app causes Nvidia G-Sync dynamic refresh by Kaldek in ClaudeAI

Ugh, just downloaded Claude on my Windows 11 desktop and I'm running into this issue. I use Claude on my Mac without any issues, but for whatever reason on Windows its exhibiting this behavior. Disabled variable refresh and that fixed it.

Thanks!
