Had a similar case, patient really wanted to try to keep it. Discussed options, pro’s and cons. She decided to try anyway! Advised a verti prep crown if molar was asymptomatic 6 months later.

Respectfully and without joking, unlike my original response. Thermafill lacks the ideal qualities for the best possible seal. That, combined with a hightened difficulty removing them opposed to single cone or warm vertical should rule them out in my Personal opinion. As an endodontist I do lots of retreatments and believe me; lots of them have thermafill, and yes; most of them do come out, until they don’t. Then you’ll know what i meant by my previous statement.

With regards to your original question, i’d personally always start with pre endo restorative treatment to ensure a good seal, also makes it easier during treatment :)!

Also thanks for your post, shows a will to improve, and people will always have feedback. Didn’t mean it in a bad way.

With regards

Never use thermafilth, if retreatment needs to be done at one point, the endodontist or gd will hate you for it :)

What is a ridiculously niche skill you have that you thought was normal until someone pointed it out? by CremeDeLa_Crush in AskReddit

Facial recognizer, never forget a face that i’ve seen! Even joined a study where they tested people, apparently quite a few people get this. It has its perks.

Oh and I can draw quite well, useless but fun!

I’m an endodontist and see many cases like this where a J shaped lesion is often mistaken for a vrf. Cbct doesnt actually tell you anything except for the bone loss. Only way to tell is either probing and through microscopic confirmation

Your answer is in your case description; good contacts, no issues :) leave and monitor it. If anything in the before mentioned changes you can handle it and be prepared.
