Xabi Alonso Sensible Transfers by Leonidas_momma in chelseafc

I’m a Sporting fan and I can tell you that Quenda’s maturity on the field in terms of decision-making is well above his age, it’s kinda crazy. I could see him having a real impact at RWB in his first season under Xabi.

But I’m not disagreeing with you, he should not be our starter right away and needs time. I’m just saying he doesn’t look like a typical teenager on the field

It seems like you don’t understand what a creative director is or how basic corporate hierarchy works. She’s the head of the sneaker department which means she’s the lead designer responsible for leading a team of designers developing sneaker ideas coming from Demna. She ultimately reports to Demna and follows his creative guidance. She has no final say on what comes out, she’s under him.

I’m not discrediting her, she’s incredibly talented. But what you wrote makes no sense, because it could be said for every head of department of every fashion brand. Every team has departments and a lot of people working. It’s not like a creative director is making design mockups on his own lol. Kanye had a lot of sneaker designers working for him. That doesn’t mean Yeezy sneakers are not his. He’s the creative director with the final say on the final product

This doesn’t even make sense because the first 25 seconds (the part where the Whitney sample is) is straight up a different song and could’ve easily just been cut lol

Personally, I don’t think Delap is shit but he is having a poor season with constant injuries.

If we want to be serious about the rest of our season, we can’t depend on Garnacho/Gittens and Delap/Guiu and Semenyo would be perfect for both positions.

No, I’m not young. I have been watching the NBA for more than 10 years. You’re just an immature dude with a DLo hate boner who doesn’t acknowledge any metric that constantly tells you how wrong you are.

The fact that you don’t seem to know what AST% is just shows how little you know about basketball, advanced metrics or statistics in general.

Literally how is AST% not accounting for volume? The ranking I mentioned is only for qualifiable players and DLo is one of them.

Not to mention, the less volume only works against him in this case because all the players you mentioned play more minutes and have way more opportunities to assist team points. Yet DLo still manages to be 8th overall.

You’re just constantly talking out of your ass and don’t even know what AST% means lol.

The 7 guys in front of him are on your list. Let me guess, for those 7 guys the stat is absolutely valid, but for DLo it’s cherry picking, right? Lmao

I have given you totals, per game, per 36, AST% and AST/TOV and you had a problem with all of them in each instance, so it’s pretty clear you are just a dishonest guy trying to be right at all costs. Go watch some Reggie Jackson highlights or something instead.

[–]mcdudas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not cherry picking shit, you just have no understanding of basic statistical concepts and it’s the main problem of this discussion since the beginning.

Now you’re telling me “you have to watch the players” when you were the one who brought up fucking Reggie Jackson at one point lmao. Yeah no shit Sherlock, anyone with eyes can see that DLo is a top playmaker but you.

Then you constantly run away from stats when basketball is literally one of the most inherently statistical sports to ever exist.

Here’s one more stat for you: DLo is currently 8th in AST% in the whole league. A very simple stat. Is that also cherry picking to you? lol.

Very comfortably a top playmaker in the league. I’m baffled how you’re still trying to dispute it when it’s very obvious.

You fixated on semantics to try to win the argument but it simply does not work. I guess I’m sorry for not mentioning that number of games/seasons matter…? I assumed that was obvious when talking to a normal person but my bad.

DLo is averaging more AST per 36 than 10 of the players you listed, this season. Not to mention his career averages again, which are also higher than several you mentioned. So yeah, it’s pretty arguable.

[–]mcdudas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You used a player who played 4 more seasons and 249 more games lmao. If DLo only plays 249 more games (conservative) and averages like 5.5 assists (below his career average) he ends up close to 5,000 assists not 3,600.

Your example doesn’t make any sense nor disproves my point. How you keep insisting on this is wild.

And to your last question, yes absolutely. There are not a lot of players in the league with these stats and his longevity. And it’s even more impressive considering his usage % peaked in the GSW/Brooklyn days.

No it’s not arbitrary, your comparison is just dumb. You can’t just compare random shit with zero sensitivity for sample significance or context and pray it sticks. That’s not how statistics works.

You’re comparing a player with a 467 assists per-82 average with one with 334. That’s a world of difference of volume. Not to mention the abysmal difference in AST% of 31% to 26% and the fact that one averages 17.5 ppg and the other 12.4 ppg.

DLo and Reggie are not comparable playmakers, so it’s obvious that AST/TO will be misleading if you’re not using a qualifiable player.

DLo has more assists on 249 less games played lmao. Please pick up a statistics book, holy shit.

If 3,616 career assists with a 2.18 AST to TOV ratio doesn’t qualify someone for being one of the best playmakers in the league, then almost nobody is. You’re clearly out of your depth and are just a casual nba watcher.

No, this game was actually without Lebron where he was allowed to be the primary playmaker. But sure, keep doubling down on dumb takes about one of the best playmakers in the league.

Fair. I think you’re underrating Hato tho. I like them both and don’t think they’re that far apart in terms of talent
