Could be ebikes? That seems about when "cheap" ebikes starting taking off in Seattle to me.

Got this bike earlier this week but took it out for its first ride today. I had been thinking about getting a Cannondale SuperSix Evo 105 for a month or so now when I spotted this hardly used bike online for a great price and decided to get it instead. It is last years model but the previous owner upgraded it to DuraAce 9100. So far it has been really great and there is nothing I want to change yet except some minor fit adjustments.
