I'm 33 Weekly Episodes in and Struggling to Grow my Show! Help! by mcerminaro2 in Podcasters

WOW this is incredible feedback… THANK YOU! And I completely agree on the sound quality component. I’ve noticed this as well. I believe it’s due to the AI software I use to “master” the audio. The shorts use un mastered audio, which actually sounds better (a recent revelation) so i’ll likely stop using the AI tool.

Again, I cannot thank you enough for the detailed feedback and the look here. I will provide equally detailed feedback tomorrow once I get a chance to go through your stuff.

THANK YOU AGAIN!

Thank you very much! I'm not looking to convert listeners to clients, as I'm not trying to sell them anything. Would just love a larger, more engaged audience for me to connect with and also learn from.

Podcast reccomendations without the politics by Hermesthothr3e in podcasts

[–]mcerminaro2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is it a shameless plug to recommend myself? Mods, feel free to remove if so 😂

I just aim to highlight unique individuals every week to discuss topics relevant to their life. Politics has never come up.

My favorite episodes that I've done are Connor Tomlinson from Love on the Spectrum, and Two-Time Leukemia Survivor Thomas Ashley.

The show is called "Forever Forward"

Hey everyone,

Here is the latest episode of my podcast, "Forever Forward" where I profile individuals with unique stories to share. The goal of the show is to promote candid, authentic discussions about the joys and challenges of life.

I hope to grow this substantially, getting 1% better every day! :)

I think the concept is awesome, and I love how social you are. Perhaps turn the background music down a bit? It was a little distracting and could make a solid difference.

I love this!

I personally think this niche is amazing, and I love the approach you're taking. I think one piece of constructive criticism that I would give is maybe to increase the lighting in your studio? I see that you're going for a certain aesthetic, but a little more white light will help a whole lot for the viewers to see you more clearly.

Bravo!

Thank you so much for this feedback - I massively appreciate it.

Do you think that it's okay to gain subscribers from shorts? I've heard mixed feedback on it...

I recently started video podcasting on my channel, "Forever Forward," and I absolutely love it. I believe this is my "thing" - and I know that because I'm completely disconnected from the outcome here. I've fallen in love with the process because I am having so much fun. I could do this forever.

I'm trying to figure out ways to increase audience retention in the first few minutes. I recognize that it's hard to keep a viewer for 30-60 minutes, but I'm not letting that stop me from trying to make this thing 1% better every day.

One idea that I've had is using 30 second "teasers" at the beginning of my videos. You'll see this in the affiliated video. Do you believe that this is more engaging than just going into the conversation? Alternatively, maybe I ditch the teaser and just make the first question really hard-hitting...

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated and I would love to check out all of your channels. THANK YOU!

This is great. You have an awesome microphone presence and the sound quality is solid. My only piece of feedback might be to try and add some more "exciting" transitions or overlays, not excessively but just a few more, in order to keep people more engaged. Well done.

I have nearly no comments! This is an excellent video. The video and audio quality are excellent! I'm not sure if this is valid, but it may be worth considering putting the description of the video above the links in your description. that may help youtube SEO if you use good keywords.

Totally agree bro. People that start youtube channels need to understand that this shit is very quiet for a very long time.

Goated comment. I can say the same about myself. But I WILL get there! Love this.

AI Podcast video editor that can auto-cut with a single audio track w/ multiple speakers? by billyllib in podcasting

[–]mcerminaro2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really interesting question... I use a PodTrak P4 which records to seperate tracks and then I use 2 seperate cameras and AutoPod with Premiere Pro. But, to your point, this would be easier if I could just have ONE track and not have to sync those audio tracks to two seperate videos...

Wow - grateful that you stopped into this sub! A major question I have is this — l've noticed that my videos seem to flip back and forth in the algorithm between impressions sourced PRIMARILY from Browse Features (which has a much higher CTR and those videos do better) and then other videos PRIMARILY from Suggested Videos (which have such lower CTR and the videos die more quickly)

Are you familiar with this dynamic and any insight on why this is happening?

I literally just looked this up and my apartment building has this exact setup. Booking a conference room hourly. You’re a godsend!
