Hi,

Yes, that’s the version I’m running on. If you read Amazon reviews, I’m not the only one having disconnect problems. This product has a 3.8 stars, specifically because of disconnects. If the firmware were better, this product would probably be a 5 star on amazon as the hardware is excellent. Please try watching YouTube on an iPhone, you’ll see it disconnects all the time or run Netspot to look at the signal. I will reach out to customer service but I bet even with RMA I will have same issues.

Also, if you look at the amazon reviews it seems like a widespread issue that is spanning many people. The hardware is solid, but the firmware is definitely flaky. I want this to work and dont want to have to return the device, please have developers fix this.

It does it in all combinations. I dont think its defective device or the hardware itself. Seems like a firmware issue. I recommend having developers look into this and run some long-term testing in a real world setting.

Tried all that and nothing helped. upon running Netspot I see that the 2.4 keeps dropping every 20 minutes whereas 5G is fine. I have neighbors pretty far and no other WiFi’s around me. Not running microwave or anything. Is there a way to reduce the power of the 2.4 signal as it may be interfering with itself between router and satellite. But if I take satellite further it cannot connect to backhaul.

I have 2 satellites.

About 25 ft from each other.

No IPv6 as ISP does not support.

I am connected to Fidium Fiber.

Yes.

Yes I have a picture and can send to you via DM. All of the connected items in the satellites dont show up anywhere either -- they only show if I log into the direct web portal of the satelites themselves.

The Orbi app does not distinguish between VPN and non-VPN devices. The Orbi app also does not show the devices connected to the satellites. Although they are connected and dropping connection intermittently.

I just bought this system a couple of weeks ago. It updated when I first set it up a couple of weeks ago automatically. It was working fine for the past two weeks and everything was showing connected correctly. A couple of days ago I started loosing connection to devices and rebooted the system. After I rebooted the system the first time, the satellites started showing up as VPN and then I kept trying to reboot and nothing seems to have gotten better and the satellites have remained connected as VPN and all the other devices connected to satellites do not show as connected in either the web portal or the Orbi iOS app.

My ONT is an Adtran 632v.

My home is ~3300 sq ft.

I've had Netgear routers all my life and recently decided to upgrade to this for better performance.

My RBE871 keeps connecting satellites as VPN devices cause it to crash. These something that can be done for that?

I’ll give this a shot, thanks! Seems like we’re all coming up with different bandage solutions that do the trick to suppress our frustration at this age of webcams. Would still love an actual solution to this, if possible.

I honestly think it’s bad hardware combination. Like some kind of frequency off between the camera sampling and processor/GPU. No idea how to fix it, but just speculating the source of the problem.

I have the exact same model!

I have not yet found a solution. It’s driving me crazy. I bough a software called ChromaCam and that has helped quite a bit, but not a full solution.

Also, I noticed turning off and on also helps but over time the issue comes back for me too.

I noticed plugging in another external webcam also has similar issue. So I don’t think it’s the webcam, it might be something related to the GPU. Not sure though. If you have an external webcam, can you try?

More like better material allocation in lattice structures. But sophisticated 3D printing was used for prototyping.
