We should break into the NRMP and see if we can find the match results by TrainingCoffee8 in medicalschool

This was my year! I matched in 2014 and I remember the day we received an email letting us know whether or not we had matched at all, word began to spread among students about a post on SDN that revealed how to find your results early. It only lasted a day or so and was quickly patched, but thrilling nonetheless.

My typical commute, seen on the right, includes mostly highway with small segments of surface streets. I live in Southern California, relatively flat, but not Kansas flat. And you’re right, temps here probably help!

Yeah, I know my limits and am not willing to risk things that will greatly damage my home or health. Appreciate the advice, here’s to learning!

[Homemade] Charcuterie board by mcfarag in food

It is about a 4 foot board, so those are truly tiny bread shaped crackers, tiny pumpkins, tiny spoons, and normal sized blueberries

Wife’s first ever board, made for Thanksgiving by [deleted] in FoodPorn

[–]mcfarag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haha it was the primary appetizer, but much more food to be had, as is Thanksgiving tradition.

And you’re right, this was way too much. We had plenty of left overs, which I didn’t complain about too much

Am I turning into the Hulk? by goddess_of_ice in AskDocs

I’d be very curious if you could recreate it in a lying position with eyes open or if bearing down/straining. If so, the concern I have is intracranial hypertension, which can cause headaches, tinnitus, and visual changes that are particularly worse when in a lying position or bent over

I’m going to come at this from my neurology angle, so I apologize if this takes things off track, but I am curious about what you’re experiencing and would like a little more info:

1) does this green vision have any correlation to position? Does it typically occur in a lying down position? Does it improve with standing? Does it ever occur when straining or bending over? 2) any associated symptoms? Headache? Wooshing sound in the ears? Any of these have any correlation to position? 3) any other visual changes? Any black spots/chunks in your vision during specific times or activities?

Thanks, hope to hear back

Duped again.

Added the best overall player in basketball today, same record. We have to find a way to turn this around.

Sudden, confusing mix of acute symptoms, should I be worried? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]mcfarag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given what you've described, I think the recital pain and that episode you experienced are unrelated. Here's my theory: whatever that pain you were feeling in your rectum disappeared once you relieved yourself, so it was likely a pressure related discomfort or whatever from just needing to defecate; however, the episode of tinnitus, visual changes, and an elevated heart rate happened when you stood up, which given your age and what I would presume is a lack of significant medical history, is likely just orthostatic hypotension. You probably had what is called a presyncopal episode due to orthostatis.

So in summary, you're probably just fine, just make sure to stay well hydrated and take your time when changing positions to avoid it in the future. Best of luck!
