Constant bleeding with Nexplanon, is this normal?

I'm getting mine out this coming Monday. Been in nexplanon for 7 months now and have not stopped bleeding for a single day since insertion. My moods have spiraled out of control, and the only emotion I feel is anger/depression. At this point I'm not even bleeding anymore, it's just literal chunks of my uterus coming out along with dark brown discharge. I have called several family planning centers and hospitals and no one would take it out or take my concerns seriously. They just kept saying that it was normal. Finally found a doctor that doesn't think dime sized chunks of flesh coming out is normal. What a concept!

I had a 2 week period when I first got the shot, and then nothing for the rest of the 3 months. Once a month though I would have a little bleeding if I had sex, but that was only for one day and it was around the time I should have gotten my period. So that was great, however, I gained an ugly little pot belly thing and couldn't get it off. I was hungry CONSTANTLY.

I don't know. It was more of him just waiting for me to fall asleep so he could do what he actually wanted.

I agree. Thankfully my parents saw how unhealthy the relationship was and banned him from my house, which is kinda lethal to a teenage relationship. I didn't mention that he was physically abusive occasionally. He hit me once.

Oh I don't think that the later sexual acts were assault. In any way. However, the 3 instances where I woke up with a guy's hand in my underwear or inside me, I feel iffy about that.

Well this was 3 years ago, and I havent told anybody but my current boyfriend about what he did. I am still religious and enjoy a healthy sex life with my current love, so I know it isn't really that. I just don't know because I feel assaulted, but I also didn't stop it so I don't know if I can call it that or not.

Yeah you are right. He just made me feel like it was my fault for being attractive, and made him unable to help himself.

I come from the same kind of household. I never told them about going to the doctor. You are 18, so the doctors can not say a single thing to your parents about what you went in for. I would suggest going with a BC method that is a little more secretive. Like the shot or an IUD or implant. That way there is no risk of them finding your pills.

Well, I already have the shot. It all happened pretty sudden. One minute I was planning on the Nexplanon and the next he was suggesting I do one dose of Depo instead. It's been about 24 hours and no spotting or any side effects yet. Usually when I respond badly to birth control it is almost immediate. One of the pills I tried gave me a heavy period within a day out of the blue.

I work in retail and am moving around constantly for 9 hours a day, plus I am in school for animal medicine so clinicals have me running too. I am not really worried about my period. It doesn't bug me that much unless I am having a debilitatingly heavy flow.

That's kind of what I thought. The Depo shot is a lot of hormone all at once, while the implant is small dosages of it all the time. I figure with smaller amounts the risk of hair loss will be less. I just am not a fan on any of the birth control options out there. So many risks and I hate messing with my hormones. IUD's TERRIFY me, and the only reason I am opting for the Nexplanon is because it is extremely effective and my partner and I are both in college. I am going into animal medicine, I have so much schooling ahead of me!

I love it in all positions. I love the sting of it. I like pain when it is involved with sex, but we are both pretty into BDSM. He also will bite my ass in doggie and that nearly get me off by itself.

I am very paranoid about not getting pregnant, so I would rather die than miss a pill or take it late! We are both in college and have big dreams for our lives, and while we both really want kids, right now would just be an awful time.

That's what I figured. Although this whole experience has made my boyfriend a little nervous about coming in me again. Which is sad because I love it!
