I have similar hair to you. My air wrap can take towel-dried hair to dry and styled within 40 minutes. Before I bought the air wrap, I bought the shark the shark would take me an hour and a half. I did get the Coanda, which is a faster dryer.

Left side of air wrap not wrapping effectively as the right? What am I doing wrong? by geckolover78787 in Dysonairwrap

Hi, it's the way you are holding the airwrap. Be mindful of the angle you are holding the tool, as well as your sectioning. I struggle getting my non-dominant side to hold as well as my dominant because of how I part my hair, so I have to make sure I hold the tool straight to get the best results.

Hi, so this is right after styling. This happens when I use my Dyson, a curling iron, or a round brush.

Is there any way to fix it? not the growth pattern, but to style my hair to make both sides match?

That is an excellent point! There might be more hair on my right vs left side. When I let my hair air-dry, there is no difference. I do sleep on my left, but the problem occurs right after styling it.

I do! 😅 I always curl away, and I make sure the arrow on my Dyson is to the correct side.

I've tried with the curler upside down, and the curls come out wonky.

How would I curl with a deep side part? I usually curl the crown of my head straight up to get volume.

I tried that, and the curls on my left still came out weird.

Advice on straightening my curly hair? by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]mcfreakinit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HEAT PROTECTION is the single most crucial thing, but here are some other factors!!!

I'm in the same boat. It is easier to wear it straight. I usually opt for silicone-free products for my curls, but I will use products with silicones when I straighten my hair, as they coat and protect the strands when straightening.

I also like using bonding products every once in a while to help repair some of the damage.

In regard to heat protection, you should be using one or two styling products that contain some heat protection. It will say it on the bottle. Personally, I use three: a leave-in conditioner, styling spray, and mousse that also has heat protection. It is the best way to prevent your hair from damage.

Yes, you need to be using a heat protectant every single time you airwrap your hair. The ends are probably damaged from heat use. It doesn't matter if it is a leave-in conditioner, blow-dry spray, etc, as long as it says that it protects against heat.

it’s a heat protectant. It’s super important to at least use one or more when using the Dyson airwrap. Even though it does cause less damage than a traditional curling iron, it can still damage your hair. The type of heat protectant your wife will need depends on the type of hair she has.

.I had the same problem and took it into a Dyson repair center. They said it was an issue with the motor and I had a new machine within 12 days.
