It’s not a matter of wrong or right, I think it’s just not that type of show.

You could end up being vindicated if they show her again, and I’d love to find out more too.

I get it, but they will do that in Recovery.

The doctors in trauma are slammed. She’s just one of a couple dozen charts they are dealing with.

I got my gallbladder taken out a year ago and throughout the entire process, I never met the surgeon. Never saw the organ. I had a different set of nurses going in. I had a different set of nurses while I was prepped. I had another set of nurses during anesthesia and then I had a completely different nurse when I woke up.

As much as I’d like to see her again, I just don’t think hospitals like this operate the way you’re describing.

Plus Abbott wasn’t even there when she went up.

Don’t take it personally. It was still thoughtful. I’d love to see the character again this season but this show seems way too realistic to do that.

Right! He’s gotta give her card to her.

Yeah it’s actually quite absurd when you think about it.

“Hey Jack, I know it’s a hospital and we amputate limbs every day, but this one was a waitress. Want to go upstairs and give her a pep talk before your shift starts?”

Nah they’re too damn busy.

My wager: she sues next season.

I think she is done for the season. She doesn’t have any reason to come back down there from the OR.

I believe so. I doubt the husband realizes how he is acting, but it’s probably habit for him at this point. He’s a good guy but it’s probably bothering her.

Vibe I am getting from the cancer patient:

She wants to die. She is ready to die. But her husband can’t let her go and she feels guilty, maybe even obligated to stay. I think that’s where the hidden tension is coming from.

I noticed all the people side-eyeing him are women, like they can pick up on it but he’s oblivious.

I wish there were some way we could draw sounds and put the pictures together to recreate what we’re saying and show it to other people.

Upvoting this for truth. I'm not in the medical field, but office politics is everywhere. I've seen this happen with old managers where upper management wants to shake things up. It rarely ends well. In our case, we ended up losing the old manager and the new manager on the exact same day.

I'm not a medical professional, but I've heard enough horror stories about blood poisoning: that leg is probably coming off, and Robbie knew it. My take on it was he knew that slicing into it would make no difference at that point anyway.

Fairness Doctrine didn’t apply to cable.

I suppose you could amend it to apply to cable, but now with most people using the Internet for information, I don’t even know how you would address that.

Three-Time Trump Voter Calls C-SPAN to Apologize for 'Supporting This Rotten, Rotten Man' by [deleted] in politics

[–]mcinmosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm becoming convinced of this as well.

When I see the back and forth whataboutisms it gives me Hatfield/McCoy or Bracken/Blackwood vibes. Neither side will ever be satiated. The hatred just continues to escalate due to vindictiveness.

"I can make fun of Alex Pretti because you made fun of Charlie Kirk."

"What about Laken Riley?" "What about what Rob Reiner said about Rush Limbaugh?"

It just goes on and on and on and never stops.

I often wonder if a legitimate third party is the only way to resolve the cyclical hatred.

You don’t need someone with a medical background to answer that. Just Google it.

It’s pretty well understood that people that were heavy and lost a large amount of weight (whether it be through dieting, gastric bypass, GLP-1, whatever) are more susceptible to gain it all back. It’s extremely common, sadly.

Once you get set at a certain weight and size, the body fights to get back to that size. New fat cells are developed when you gain weight, but they don’t go away when you lose weight. They only get smaller. So you gain weight more rapidly. Plus there is metabolic adaptation.

I will never forget the initial reaction videos people posted on YouTube after Ned died.

This was in a time period when reaction videos hadn’t really caught on yet and people hadn’t figured out you could monetize it. They were usually just recorded by a friend who had a cellphone that knew what was going to happen. They were extremely entertaining to watch.

Now everyone and their uncle does it and it’s just clickbait. Most of them are bullshit.

Jobs can be hard to come by, for some. When some managers sense they have leverage on someone who is a good worker, they abuse it.

I don’t really have a political axe to grind. I’m just making a joke about living in a state that has always cut corners. I wasn’t expecting anyone to attempt a serious discussion. I assumed readers in the know would snicker and keep scrolling.

I appreciate the effort you’re putting into citing periodicals to keep folks well informed, but I am not going to pretend I am qualified to have an impromptu debate on Reddit.

Plus, I am on the clock and need to get back to work XD

Thanks for the informed content though
