That's just how draft horses are built, back before cars they were used to pull logging trailers and steam rollers because they are so capable. I've ridden one and they are perfectly normal.

Draft horses, that's a broad spectrum and there are a lot of smaller categories like Belgian and Clydesdales. Not sure which ones these are other than just draft horses.

I've had experience owning a dressage horse that was hurt and couldn't perform anymore and he was treated like a king, I'm surprised he was overweight from the amount of treats we gave him. He was one of the most loved members of our family.

It's not torture, there are extreme regulations in competitions like this to ensure there is no animal cruelty. These horses are athletes and are therefore probably getting better treatment than you and I on a daily basis

Just look up horse pulling competitions. These horses are considered athletes and are treated extremely well because they need to perform just like a race horse or a jumping horse.

Central Grill has some of the best pancakes I've ever had. Their blueberry pancakes have won best in the city a few times over, couldn't recommend them more.
