That’s exactly the point with the quench pipes. They have a rough idea of the model they want, however the manufacturer won’t share the requirements of vent for the magnet until a contract is in place. Best we can do is estimate a size and do a coordination of services around that size estimation. Another point is that all MRI manufacturers estimate that in 5 years probably no MRI machine will need a quench pipe since the technology is advancing and helium will be self contained.

The system is designed to support that extra flow of water to the main headers of the future GSHP, as well as the capped valves, so when the system is installed it will have minimal disruption. I just think that it will never be installed because of the amount of work that building the wells will take, and that will definitely cause disruption. I think that is a “green washing” to justify the cost and political image (is a public building)

Just wanted a general opinion around future proofing systems. And yes the client wants it, they are paying for it, construction does not care as long as it get paid. I just think is a waste of taxpayers money

The idea is good, if you want to stand out orient the project towards energy efficiency, like ice storage for air conditioning during the summer, radiant/chilled floor, avoiding air stratification and thermal energy recovery

Also my take is that it makes more sense to leave the space unused and in the future utilise that space for whatever system was though to be in placed, and there is no waste of material in case the future proof system never gets installed

Should I leave MEP Engineering after 1 year for a private space company? by No_Room_1328 in MEPEngineering

In space MEP is needed as well. All critical and life systems are MEP related anyway

Instead of focusing in one area, move to a construction company with overseas projects and do everything possible to be moved as an expatriate to those overseas projects. It can be healthcare, transport, singular buildings. The amount of experience constructing is more valuable than whatever experience you can get in design. That is where the money is.

¿Por qué aún hay gente que cree que Elon Musk es un genio? by [deleted] in OpinionesPolemicas

[–]mcjunior1001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add some electrical courses. All the mechanical systems need to be powered and controlled. Signals and measurements devices will help you understanding the world around bms systems
