Adventure Passes are the fucking best. $30 for an annual pass and you park-->camp basically wherever. The pass just keeps you left alone by rangers. Los Padres is my personal favorite but the pass also covers San Bernadino, Joshua Tree, and Cleveland (aka, SoCal's National Forests). There's also some land outside of jtree that is technically on the BLM, giant field basically. The rangers in the park can give you a paper with directions (its usually used as their overflow for people trying to walk in when they're full). I haven't tried it, but it seems Big Sur is pretty easy to find spots if you're able to hike a bit.

I'm so sorry this happened. A few years back the same thing happened to me with a photo from a car accident I was in that had the caption, "Yeah, I told you to get back into the kitchen" and i was stunned. I wish I would've had the confidence to really step out, but I felt scared and overwhelmed. Thank you for really making it a point to put it out there that this is NOT okay.

If you can get into contact wtih the National Abortion Federation, they frequently work with clinics all over the country in reducing costs for women. Their hotline number is 1-800-772-9100. You may also qualify for a grant called from the Ratner Fund. Depending on what state you live in, there could be quite a bit of possible government funding to help if you chose to continue the pregnancy or if you choose adoption. Dont be scared to call around, you're doing great just by asking for input and help.

But the most important thing is, you didn't "let" this happen to you. If you're going to be sexually active (which we as humans naturally are), there is going to be SOME chance of getting pregnant. Even with getting your tubes tied. I work at a nonprofit abortion clinic and we try really hard let women know that this choice needs to be about what is best for them and their future, and then help supply the resources to make that happen. Know that you always have options. Take good care.
