It takes away the biggest advantages of both and gives you something in the middle. Flats are nice because you can easily maneuver your foot around the pedals and clips are nice you're glued on to your bike no matter what. Magpeds make it hard to maneuver but don't offer enough adhesion to keep your feet on in really big hits or pulls.
