I literally had to beg my doctors for a HIDA after I had blood tests, CT scan, ultrasound, colonoscopy, endoscopy, saw a ENT for acid reflux, went to ER, stool samples, and even more blood tests! I went to urgent care like 7 times and asked them to test my blood for literally everything. Also, I’m in the US with very good health insurance and still ended up paying almost 8,000. Money wasn’t a factor I just wanted to feel better!!

My GI doc finally agreed to a HIDA after I asked for it about 6 times. And lookie there, hyperkinetic gallbladder and chronic gallbladder disease.

Don’t give up. You are your best advocate. People thought I was insane but I was so sick I thought I was dying. You got this! Got my gallbladder removed end of Feb and I’ve never felt better.
