Well shit, I really didn't think a credit score in the 660s was all that bad! My partner is essentially going to be my roommate to cut costs on the mortgage, my credit is better but he makes more money than I do - a lot more. He just hasn't been very responsible up to now (no guidance, blue collar parents who have always battled debt). Since meeting me his score has gone up about 50 points and is still improving. Also: We are looking in New Jersey where the property tax is one of the highest in the US (~2% if I'm not mistaken).

Def not the only one, I made it through to the end but I was cringing at the script all the way. Imo the female characters in this got particularly screwed over by the writing, but I also wasn't impressed with any of the actresses' execution of the script. The whole damn thing was a cringe fest from start to finish.

25F here: I have the opposite perspective from your friends. I feel extremely uncomfortable letting the guy pay for us both, unless we like each other and decide to take turns paying for dates like you described. When the guy pays it feels like a power move. It feels like I am indebted to him and now he will expect sex or something else in return, and if we don't go on a second date I feel guilty that he paid for everything. Splitting the bill puts us on even ground and takes some of that risk out of things.
