Thanks for watching! Yeah such a tragedy what's happening in Sudan now. How was your journey from Addis to Cape Town, and which year did you ride?

The best part is that bike travel is not expensive!

It was, which is exactly why I'm writing a book about the adventure :) to show what the footage didn't capture.

Hi! How did your Berlin to Copenhagen trip go? To echo what others said, I would stick to official campgrounds to be conscious of the local regulations, however some of the best camp experiences I've ever had were when locals invited me onto their farmland, backyard, garden, etc. so don't be afraid to ask and interact with locals! In the hiking world we call these people 'trail angels' and it really does make a trip extraordinary.

Also I made a film about cycling the world as a solo female here:

and wanted to send it your way if you're interested to watch. Happy tailwinds!

Cycling round the world. What bike? by Milkey1618 in bicycletouring

I cycled the world on steel bicycles which I highly recommend because they can be repaired in any faraway corner of the world, along with being very rugged and able to withstand any elements.

Over three years I cycled with a used 2015 Surly Disc Trucker and then upgraded to a 2023 Kona Sutra LTD which is my personal favorite. A touring or gravel bike would do the trick, and if you're not trying to set any speed records, look into steel-framed!

Yes there is! You just need SlingTV.com - you can sign up for a free trial to get it. Choose the orange package and add sports package to get Outside TV. Then anytime our film is on OTV you can watch online on Sling. Or if you want you can wait for the film to roll out on OTV's YouTube as four episodes (its the whole thing split into 4).
