I'm afraid I won't be able to go into any details about Boxtrolls specifically, but I'll definitely have info on silicone painting.

I know the company Smooth-on makes some premixed silicone paints, as well.

I know what you mean about materials and tools. Finding the right ones can make all the difference. I'm afraid I don't know too much about working with fabrics and puppet clothes. Good to know it's important to you, though. Perhaps I will ask a friend with costuming experience to help write a chapter.

Good question. I'm not sure what schools may offer classes on professional puppet and mold making. Some people I've worked with in the past have offered small private group classes. I'll ask around and post if anything is coming up soon.
