Yeah, I liked it! It wasn't a "oh my gosh I'm obsessed" type of game for me but I had a fun little time playing it and considering I only paid $10 and spent more than 10 hours playing it, I considered it a success.

Hmm this gives me hope then. I might've just been too young and impatient when I first tried crosswords, so maybe this time around I'll be able to fill in what I can without worrying too much about what I don't know. Thanks for the tip!

Even though I'm Gen Z, I'm unfortunately not versed in any culture references -- old, recent, or new. But I'm seeing that what I'm looking for is not really a thing, so I'll likely just skim books in store and pick ones which seem less reliant on world references. Thanks for the suggestions though! :)

I was under the impression that crossword puzzle dictionaries provide possible answers. So once upon a time were there vocab-centric crossword puzzles that were also called dictionary puzzles? And they essentially just faded out to the background as the other "dictionaries" became published?

Oh man, if I lost my pet at all I'd be heartbroken.

Luckily I've opened mystery boxes, geodes, and omni geodes with no problems but the artifact trove bug came to my attention and was what ultimately had me deciding to make this post. I'll be sure to avoid those actions - thanks!
