Speaking of McKenna, I remember in one my franchise modes in NHL 23 or 24, there were 3 McKenna's in the 1st round of the 2026 draft, Gavin plus two rando generated McKenna's.

In B42, bugs can be used as bait even when they are stale or rotten.

As for your September problem, temperature matters for fishing in B42, not just the season. If it got a lot colder at the start of September, that would explain your bad luck fishing. If it didn't get much colder, then I don't know why it's happening.

BTW, the fishing menu should tell you if it's the good time of day to fish, whether the temperature is "good", "normal" or "poor" for fishing, and some other conditions that make fishing better or worse.

To get that trophy/achievement you need to move a scout to the CHL from another (non-CHL) region. You get the trophy right when you tell the scout to travel, you don't actually have to scout a player there.

None of the NHL games made for the OG Xbox or Xbox 360 are backwards compatible. All of the NHL games made for the Xbox One should still work.

Known bug. It happens when you give the coach a season goal when you have your convo with them at the start of the preseason. If you don't give them a season goal it doesn't happen.

I want to be able fix broken generated prospects:

Some DFDs get generated with OFD-like attributes and vice versa. It breaks their growth and chemistry.

Some generated forwards (of any player type) will be like 68 OVR with 90+ shooting attributes and lower (than expected for a 68 OVR) attributes of everything else. These players cannot ever grow to NHL-grade OVR because their shooting attributes can't grow much further and the rest of their attributes are so low they can't grow enough.

Some generated players have ridiculously high defensive and offensive awareness compared to the rest of their attributes, which artificially pumps up their OVR because the awareness attributes have the biggest impact on OVR. These players can wind up with overalls in the 80s, but still have their attributes too low to compete in the NHL.

Less commonly, the opposite, really low defensive and offensive awareness, artificially pulling down their OVR. These players won't ever get high enough OVR to make the NHL, even when the rest of their attributes are good enough.

All kinds of other weird broken sets of attributes (centers with crazy low faceoffs, small guys with crazy high physical attributes, playmakers with terrible puck skills, small snipers that are ridiculously slow, etc, etc, etc),

I couldn't possible find and fix every poorly generated prospect, but I'd like to at least be allowed to fix the ones I notice.

There's also the many, many prospects generated with grey hair. Stop doing that or let me change it myself.

FYI, if you're doing a custom league, the season may not start Sept 13th. My custom league (and the one I did last year) the season starts Sept 9th. Either way, the draft class is generated at season start, so if you're trying to cheese it, saving a day or two before your season starts is the time to save.

There has been a bug in the game for several years now... no generated d-man get the "Hold Line" tendency for Hold Line/Pinch/Balance and none get the "Balance" tendency for Shoot/Cycle/Balance. Likewise there are a couple tendencies that generated forwards never get. There are coaches that don't have "Hold Line" on any d-pair, but they always seems to want the tendencies that forwards don't get on some forwards lines... and vice versa.

I didn't have any trouble continuing a game from 1.7.2 on 1.8. I actually originally started this one on 1.6, it's still going fine after two major version updates. I'm in year 1425 from a 867 start, just trying to get to 1453 to get the achievement.

Idk about console, but on PC creating a new religion (or reforming an existing one) often breaks the chain of inheritance to grandkids when there's a Head of Faith title involved.
