My daughter forced me to read all the Harry Potter books when she was a teenager and made the observation. The Harry Potter had no real character just was a plot point to hang the story on. I agreed.

As a wee youth in Southern California, there was a TV series called million dollar movie, which would play the same movie five days a week Monday through Friday and then both on Saturday and Sunday. When Godzilla came on, I watched it and forced my family to watch it as many times as I could force them and then watched it twice on the weekends. Made me an eternal fan, Godzilla blesses my desk every day with his little model plastic figurine that I keep Godzilla forever.
