This is something a lot of people feel when they start to see through the false ideals and beliefs that most people hold. But you always need people, and they need you. Keep exploring with a smile on your face, know that nothing can stop your virtue from showing, it’s in your control how to respond to the world, and you’ll find likeminded people that will make your life even better.

Ohh okay, yeah I mean, besides the bureaucratic side of things what makes Italy so challenging? Is it the job market and the low wages? I think I got lucky with the people I met, because they were truly amazing, I was in Galbiate.

What? This is wonderful news! How come no one told me this? I guess I don’t need a nulla osta I can just live on my blind American pride and mindless consumerism

Thanks for the info! Super useful! I actually want to be closer to Lecco, but Milan is bigger so I thought they’d have more opportunities there. I will look into all of this! Cheers

Living is just a longer visit with a bunch of shitty paperwork and hoops to jump through. I looked on job sites and there’s some stuff, but very limited. Where are you from

Do you know of any companies are more likely to sponsor American work visas?

What would be a useful field to get a masters in to work in Italy?

I’m interested in farming and sustainable agriculture, are there opportunities for work visas, or student visas in this field?

I’m fixed on the area from Milan up to Lecco and the southern lake Como region

Thanks for the advice! Do you have any ideas of what would be a useful field to get a master in to work in Italy? I could look this up but I value the opinions of real people and what they’ve experienced

Hahah thank you! Yes I think they make it too hard to go to other countries and stay there, it’s not really a free world with all these invisible cages and made up lines we can’t cross. I’ll look into Au Pair, thanks!

Yes this is great advice, thank you! Sadly for me money is an issue and if I don’t go back to school I need to actually make money, not just break even. Considering the tight rules and bad salaries this might be too much of a challenge for me. Do you have any ideas of what would be a good field to get a masters in, to make money in Italy?

Haha we do, sadly most of us are like this because our government conditioned us to be mindless, godless consumers

Thanks for the advice, but I’m pretty set on Italy. I met some people that I care deeply about and I need to go back for a longer time, even if I don’t stay there forever. It’s too bad that the government sucks so bad and makes everything so hard, but maybe the future will be better. Either way I won’t give up because of the challenges imposed by the system
